    Hi folks.

I have never had a problem getting these fans off. (I do lots of them).

Underneath the 10mm nut is a washer with a D shaped hole in the middle to suit the shaft of the motor. I have brazed one of these washers to the end of a redundant 1/4 inch drive socket. I was able to turn the surplus material off in my lathe but it could be done by filing.

    Method.
Remove 10mm nut . Lever off special washer. Squirt of WD. Leave couple of minutes. Using the special socket made in a socket handle, lock the motor shaft in position. Spin fan with finger ( sometimes tight at first but always gives in the end). Slide fan off.

Where it will fit, I always use ELE9036 (CDSL) as a replacement. Not been back to one in 2 or more years.
For the older models and the small oven I always use the genuine part, easier fit and I dont have any issues with reliabilty.

    Mike.

I then hold D shaft with a pair of pliers in one hand whilst loosening the fan with the other. Once the fan spins freely, ease it off the D shaft.

There’s always an exception that proves the rule and I’m pleased to hear you’ve not had the problems the rest of us have suffered Mike.:D

‘Economical with the truth’. That’s what you call it, is it? 😯

Let’s hope that guy never gets on to this thread somehow 🙁
