just had an email from Alex at Qualtex offering to reopen my account have agreed to this they closed my account about a year ago

Me finks they be having a hard time ,l reckon suddenly the turnover has been checked and hey its decreased as is every one else Never understand closing accounts as this trade is small dealers and we need every bit of business no matter how small……

My account was reopened yesterday. No mention of a minimum spend policy. I guess they have worked out those few extra thousand pounds turnover per year are worth having after all.

Qualtex seem to inherited the worse aspects of Masterpart….. everything is out of stock!

connect decided that was not buying enough for the number of times I looked at the website result closed account because I was stealing their info
why would I buy from someone who in my case was always dearer

Yes, i’ve noticed that more and more of Qualtex spares seem to be out of stock. Simple things like Whirlpool/Hotpoint brushes etc. Like you, connect seem to be getting more and more business from me.

What information is there to steal? I have heard suppliers using this argument, but just don’t get it. What about John Lewis, Currys or Amazon – do they ban customers from their sites when customers don’t order? I think there is a lesson for distributors here – banning customers from their website doesn’t generate income or profit. Stock availability, attractive item and delivery pricing, reliability of order fulfilment and good customer service do.
