Can’t see any options in the UCP for hiding your e-mail addy. You can select an option to allow/disallow users to send you e-mails.
I cannot see e-mails for any other posters and the ‘allow’ option is set by default so its unlikely anyone would have already gone into their UCP and changed it.
I thought that only admin/mods could see users e-mails under the old system.

Errr, can’t recall.
I do know there was an option to show/hide your email and that *may* have been carried across.
I’ve just added you to the Global Mods Group proper (something not quite correct there) so see if that makes any difference. The permissions in this new version are hugely complex. Or, they are until I work out WTF it’s all about.

Its very quiet on the forum….some people have no patience. 😀
Not trying to break anything but the ‘Upload Attachments’ doesn’t appear to be working.
Tried to upload several different file types, jpeg. gif etc, all under 100kb but all failed.
txt and pdf files refused as ‘Not allowed’

Oh yeah, just you give me more problems to deal with! 😆
No.1 priority right now is server speed. We’re busting our knackers trying to find the cause of it.
I’m knocking my pan in sorting stuff you likely don’t even see, which is really annoying as it’s desperately repetitive work, all the articles. Every one needs edited and crafted by hand.
No.2 priority is the spam issue. Sudeep has user registration linked to Stop Forum Spam on the local test server, implemented tomorrow on the live server, assuming we can find the cause of the server overload and kill it.
I need the code geeks to sort out the important stuff first, then I can sort the other bits and bobs but in the meantime I don’t want to go stomping in there and cause even more hassles to emerge.
I have enough for now. 😉

Well its definitely much faster but it looks like we have reverted to a more basic forum style.
I assume this is only a temporary fix. ❓
It works much better in Chrome than IE though.

Yes, temporary.
Template seems to be the issue.

Still doesn’t appear to be working. ( no big deal mind ) 🙂
One other strange thing I have noticed, not sure if it is just me or if you can test it with IE.
The bottom of the home page with the link to the spares dept is acting weird on my PC using IE. If the icons are displayed along the bottom and I click the CLOSE button it closes, but when I click the OPEN button it changes to CLOSED but the lower part does not open. If I click it again it changes to OPEN and the spares icons are displayed but the button still shows OPEN when it is already open.
If I use Chrome it works perfectly, I suspect its more of an IE problem, just wondered if anyone else has seen it.

No problems, I’ll find something else once you have sorted that. 😆
I notice the image hosted ‘off site’ is now working. Is the direct upload on the cards for the future?

Hmm, it should be a feature.
I’ll mess about and see if I can find it or a hack for it.
