Strange one that, I read all sorts into that comment.

Those of us who are of a certain age will by now no doubt be sick of being asked “are you still working” or being told that “my friend said you had retired”.
To cap it all last week I actually had one woman who told a friend I was calling, “oh is he still alive” was her friends response. 😈

I was confronted with aren’t you retried ? “no I’m here with my tools “,my dishwasher broke down a couple of years 😯 ago and we thought we should get it fixed.
Christ I thought as I opened the door to find festering brown liquid still in there,”can you do anything with it”?

Customer ‘My washing machines not working, takes water in but doesnt do anything else, Ive tried changing the fuse’

When you tell them you’ve put some sealant on a hose and not to use the machine for a few hours, then they say ‘So I can’t use it straight away then?’
NO THATS WHY I SAID NOT TO USE IT FOR A FEW HOURS.

You decide with the customer at the time of booking that they are in for the rest of the day after 3 pm ,so you arrange to call after 3 and tell them that you work until 6pm . At 3.30 the phone rings ,” i was expecting the engineer to call at 3pm ” arghhh or same scenario and you arrive at 5.30 to be met with oh your late im going out at 6pm 👿
