Turn the unit off for 24 hrs with the door left open. Once it’s totally defrosted press against the rear wall where it was icing up and you will probably find that it is spongy and soft.
If it is then its scrap as the liner has come away from the evaporator. No replacement thermostat or regassing will repair it.

There are two different styles of hinges used dependent on age..
Can you see 3 screws on the door where the hinge legs come out of the actual door ?

If i am right there is a metal plate on the back wall of the fridge which is what would normally cool down. if so the following is the thermostat. Yep there doesnt seem to be anyone listed.

You would need allen keys and a phillips screwdriver and long nose pliers to fit if you wanted to carry out the repair yourself.. :zap: :zap: remember power OFF :zap: :zap:

The fault will be the same as they use the same cabinet for fridges & freezers and fridge freezers.
It will most probably need a extra long capillary thermostat which is a standard part.

As a guess its a 50/50 fridge freezer and the fridge has stopped cooling ?
