    Re: CURRYS KNOW HOW

It is reported that KNOWHOW will establish an in-house repair service for customers with white goods (large kitchen appliances like washing machines, dishwashers, fridge freezers etc.) covered by the company’s Customer Support Agreements (‘Whateverhappens’). The move is set to create around 100 jobs and means that Dixons Retail will be the only electrical specialist retailer in the UK able to carry out product repairs on white goods for its customers.

Are independents specialist retailers. more specialist as we know what were selling and carry out the in warrant service also ?

Hopefully they will put that statement on there website so that advertising standards could get involved

    More corporate bull.

    Re: Whirlpool Dishwasher

the start light will flash to indicate the fault, f1 through to f15, f1 is one flash one pause one flash, f2 is 2 flashes one pause and 2 flashes.

If you let me know the number of flashes it should be able to give you the fault, or let me have your email address and ill email them through

    vestfrost drinks fridge

    Hi

This requires a air temperature thermostat unless you can fix it to the plate, couple of holes would do.and a hard piece of plastic and a couple of screws.

Martin wrote:A unit on the Portman Road industrial estate would be ideal I would think Simon. After all that would be ‘just around the corner’ so your walk-in customers won’t be lost. Having said that in truth most, if not all, of your customers actually drive to your shop anyway. Parking outside isn’t the greatest at the best of times whereas on Portman Road, no probs!

I’ve seen a few FOR SALE/LEASE boards up around that area of late, so it might be worth considering?

    HTH? 😀

    what is HTH?

Re: Retail or Industrial unit ?

    Hi

    The question is..

Can you do without your walk in customers.Working from an industrial unit will cause a massive drop off your retail side as customers won’t normally chase round after you.

If you don’t rely on them then a industrial unit would suit as it will be cheaper all round, purchase, rates act.

You then have the problem .If you own the other 2 shops.. can you sell them or rent them to in these times. If you can’t then you will still have the rates at least to pay.

You then have the next problem. either redundancies due to merging two into one or paying for the extra staff and is the upturn going to stay.

Can you reduce the volume of appliances you keep as most distributors deliver either next day or twice a week this will free up space and overheads.

    Re: samsung rsh1nhmh american style

    Hi Cras

There are two common causes for this fuse to blow.

    1, The freezer bulb blows.

2, The ice selection solenoid has fried,it melts and will need to be replaced as will the solenoid bullet which actuates the ice bucket grinder.

There is a new PCB to replace the original,I do have all the parts but off the top of my head not the part numbers. The actuator bullet comes in about 6 pieces which you have to put together.

If you want the parts e-mail me samsung@ffrseervices.co.uk
