Any Gas appliance engineers in the house?

    Hi

My advise to your friend is to carry out a quick operational check before carrying out the cleaning. Saves bover later. By cleaning the fault described wouldn’t normally be caused by cleaning.

We chase every job waiting for parts on a weekly basis through the job messages.
We know it annoy’s the girls but as dave has said..that’s what it’s there for and we are showing our accountability by chasing part’s.
We also close jobs after 90 days for payment for the call only if parts haven’t arrived as parts unavailable and also put notes on that if the remaining parts are not received within 2 months all parts for the call will be returned for full credit

Hotpoint WMA44 at the end of it’s life?

    Hi

The number is for a engineer who is NOT on this site but an engineer that I know personally from Barnstable area, the number is the one that I have. The site cannot control engineers as they are all self employed and we give our time free.so there is no case to answer to.

    Hi

Yes the buyspares website has misled you in the description of the part you have purchased. The heater is attached to the evaperator and is removed from the new part and fitted to your original. No soldering is required as you do not cut any pipework.

    Re: Samsung RL36SBMS Thermal Fuse

The only things I disconnected were on the left hand side of the evaporator as you look at it.

Then I’m curious to know which part you actually changed as the connections for the heater are on the right hand side.

What did the heater look like ? and explain how you changed the heater ?

    Samsung RL36SBMS Thermal Fuse

    Hi

It’s fitted to the right hand side of the evaperator.you would have disconnected it when you changed the heater. But if you had tested it you may not have needed it.

    Samsung RL36SBMS Thermal Fuse

    Hi

The thermal fuse is fitted to the right hand side of the evaporator. Have you tested this to see if it is open circuit ?. The thermostat I can only assume you mean defrost sensor as this model doesn’t use thermostats.

Motor/Chemical Smell and Noise After Clearing Excess Freezer

    Hi

Not really harmful unless you was inhaling for long periods and lots of it.
The unit is scrap though, so it’s down to the shops to buy a new one.
