    Hi

The black coating is paint so not important.the crumbly bits like bits of white carbon is just flux from when the pipes are brazed together.

If you suspect that the fridge freezer is tripping your electrics then you must have a engineer to confirm this or not or trace the fault yourself.

    Re: gorenje hob ect2800p2

    Hi Wilf

The majority of Induction and ceramic hobs will need re setting it there is a quick power surge or power failure.
Isn’t the cooker switch on the wall ? The switch should be a double pole switch that costs the neutral and live so thus doing what you are doing .removing power for the PCB.
Isolation for about 5-10 minutes at the worse length of time is required but the customer would need to be in a property that has a continued power cuts for it to cause a problem.

I very much doubt that the PCB or hob is actually faulty. If the electronics are reset and it works then the appliance is working and functioning correctly.

If the cooker switch is turned off then the board will have no power..same a you disconnecting it.
I have to switch off my hob if the younger ones try cooking and confuse the touch controls but after a couple of minutes its reset.
There is NO reason what so ever that the base needs to be taken off and pub disconnected if the cooker isolation switch is working correctly.

    Hi Wilf

This should not be plugged in at any point. It should be on a 30amp cooker supply.

Re: ISE w288eco – Drum banging + Cycle doesn’t finish

    Hi Ian

I would be agreeing with Ken that it is either sensing out of balance or that the appliance is sensing that there is still some water left in the appliance. When did you last carry out a service wash ? and how often ?.
If the appliance is getting upto full speed when empty and no clothes then I would assume with a fairly good bet that the component sides are working,I.E. motor, pump, board. that leaves the pressure switch operated by sensing water level, this will also stop the motor from spinning fully, this can be confused by scum which forms into a dirty cream cheese substance when the machine has not had service washes carried out or when liquid detergents are used.

If the machine spins once it has had the pressure hose removed them the later would be a likely cause.

    Hi Cabot

Leave it alone until Hpt carry out the modification and advise you want it repaired under warranty while they are there..Somehow I don’t think that they will argue much about it.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

May need to take a selection of heating elements as well, what percentage would you think will totally collapse as you remove them given just how flimsy they are. :rolls:

That scenario isn’t even mentioned and they aren’t supplied either.
