Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

Have they beefed up the rear bearing too?

For each modification is as follows.

The engineer will be supplied with a rivet gun and rivets. The engineer is expected to drill and insert a rivet onto the drum using a supplied jig. There is also a choice of 3 different rear panels that can be fitted for the same model and the engineer must take 3 rear panels for each job they are going to do to ensure that they have the correct rear panel. so 5 jobs = 15 rear panels on the van. Full insulation test to be carried out and recorded for each and every appliance. I would also assume that the appliance would need to be vacuumed also but this has not been mentioned.
There is also a new serial number which needs to be recorded as well as the original serial number.

    Hi

The askoll pump 40w you’ve got will work quite happily as a replacement and will not cause any issues.

You could also buy the hotpoint, indesit, creda, proline and they all supply heating for your house 😕

Not the sort of heat you really want though. :eeek:

    Hi

As the fan stops spinning when it gets hot its probably due to it seizing up as the bushes expand. You may also need a fan motor ass

    Hi Simon

The last one is possibly breaching BS and gas safe regs as it doesn’t look like its hi enough. And the hob wouldn’t be repaired as its siliconed onto the worktop .

Re: Slow Water Dispenser flow on Admiral GC2224GEKW fri/free

    Hi

The only way that the feed pipework within the door can be tested is by turning the WHOLE appliance off for 48hrs with the freezer door left open and then try once the appliance is turned on again.
If it flows correctly then the insulation in the freezer door has started to fail.
Try turning the freezer temp to -18 instead of the standard -21 this will make it take longer to freeze the pipe and might actually might stop it freezing.
If it doesn’t then its probably scaled up in which case not a lot you can do if you have checked for kinked pipework.

    Re: Baumatic BDI631 Thermostat

    Hi

I’m not in front of it so can’t see what you see. The cut out is normally screwed into the base or on the back cross member. also if there is not enough pressure going through the pipework from the motor through a black rubber hose with a microswitch attached then goes unto the top spray arm..

    Re: Baumatic BDI631 Thermostat

    Hi.
Then it will be the one shot stat in the base. If you look at the back whilst it is washing the water should be pumped up the rear tube. If it’s not then it may be the diverted flap on the side of the motor which can be removed if you don’t want or use the 1/2 load option.
You won’t easily see the button stat if you don’t remove the rear panel and base panel..

    But remember… Unplug it !!

    Re: Baumatic BDI631 Thermostat

    Hi

Put it on a wash then after it has filled with water pour another 3/4 ltr into it and then close the door and see if it heats up then.

    Hi

It’s in the base BUT what is the actual fault you have ?
