KeymasterThe idea in principle is good, but will some people not be frightened off when they have to actually commit some money to an idea.
I am a firm believe you have to speculate to accumulate but it will need more than a handful to make the idea work

Thanks Bryan. It’s just when it’s washing.

This is a electronic model which you cannot hear any click ect from the pressure switch…you may well cause damage to the switch assembly as the pressure required on this type of sensor is minimal.
Does the machine overfill whilst the machine is unplugged or is it whilst it is washing.
Depending on this depends on where the fault will lie.

KeymasterRe: UK Whitegoods – The Future
I would like to agree with Martin in what he says about the intention of the fund, its not a members fee, its upto the individual to contribute if they so chose. I think the idea is sound and the use it could be put to excellent.
Ukw could never be like Dasa (perish the thought) and nor would any of us wish it to be.
The future is surely here in UKW, with it allowing everyone an equal voice completely free of charge.

KeymasterI needed the rest, getting older you see. Also needed to get into to start developing the whitegoods paunch.
As far as the knickers go maybe they are another aid for the rampant rabbit user!

KeymasterRe: ADP 8224 Dishwasher
hi,
when you open and then close the door on this model during use you will cause a depression on the surface of the water within the appliance. The side filling chamber water level will fluctuate and increasingly so if pipes are restricted by a build up of sludge, it takes very little variation to activate the anti flood and stop your appliance. The anti flood your handbook refers to is an external anti flood that we would call an aquastop, and whilst this is not fitted to your model an internal anti flood is that is operated by pressure from the side chamber.
Call an experienced engineer to fix it for you.admin

After some conversation on this subject it was agreed that we would set up the ability for any member to pay £5 per calendar month into the UKW account irrespective of the size of company to generate funds.
hi kwatt,
did we not say members who are repairers only would be eligable?

Ps
Have a look at the thread entitled ADP 8224 Reset Codes, it might make more sense than my waffle above!

KeymasterRe: ADP 8224 Dishwasher
I was getting error code E2, for what I have no idea. The machine would just not complete its cycle. However, the manual told me that code E2 was not used on my particular appliance. Confused? Anyway, I discovered that these machines do not like being opened mid cycle. (My old machine was subjected to this for 11 years, and never complained, it is still working now!) So I did the same to this inherited ADP 8224. Someone suggested to me that I could reset something or other by switching off the machine, then switching back on again whilst holding down the programme button. This seemed to banish the gremlins. Don’t even know how it worked but it did!

hello, as Del says we have been away and the responses should now start.
It’s my view that E2 is a common fault and easily curable by an experienced engineer. Whatever the charge (£50.00 to £65.00 for labour ) you will benefit by having the correct repair at a reasonabble charge.E2 on early appliances was extremely difficult to cure because of the design of the side filling chamber, however it has been improved and will usually be cured by clearing the waterway from the side chamber to the sump. A job for someone who knows what they are doing and not a DIY feat.
I wont tell you how to do it, resetting the electronics is possible but only after the fault is cured.

KeymasterI too have been getting this problem, E2. When the programme starts water fills up in the bottom of the machine and then bleeps with this error (within 3-4 minutes). I have removed the water, reset the machine and started again with the same outcome of error code E2.
The removal of the water has worked a couple of times before but no such luck now.
Any suggestions?

KeymasterRe: Compressor cross-reference
Dave,
You could remove the first page. The rest should be OK. If you cannot delete the page from the file let me know and I can resend it to you without this page.

Dave_Conway wrote:I don’t know if anyone’s got an up to date cross reference list for R600 compressors. I’ve just been trying to find one for a Liebherr fridge/freezer number HVY57AA. All I can find is an Electrolux pdf file with it listed but no part number and Liebherr are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
Has anyone got a part number either lux or w/pool or anyone else I can use to order with ?
Thanks.
Dave.
Dave,
I have come across a Leibherr Service Bulletin that might help you. I will send it as an attachment to an email as it is in pdf format and quite large.
