    Hi Dave
It was the right one which was replaced.

It starts filling once the programme has been selected and the start button has been pressed, after that it just won’t stop.

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

Just an observation I’ve made. Of the cold water inlet valves the right one (looking from the front of the machine) is the one which takes most of the water. The left one seems to be used mainly on the final rinse. The right one will not stop taking water, the only way to stop it is to disconnect it. But the left one when it is used on the final rinse does stop on it’s own. I’m not sure what this tells me?
I’ve tried switching the cables over from valve to valve but it makes no difference. Any ideas?
One thing which I haven’t mentioned is that the machine did recently have a faulty coil which was replaced. Could this have any bearing on my current problem?

    Re: whirlpool AWM8143GB

FH is a failure of one or more of the following

    water tap
    inlet valve
    flowmeter
    Pressostat

check water tap is not an easy install one that punctures the pipe with a small hole…it can fur up

inlet valve soleniods do seize during use

flowmeter running slow practically un detectable to the eye but not to the pcb

pressostat u seem to have covered

finally the electronics try the others first

I agree with your sentiment and understand your feelings but i also think we are bigger than martian and can survive with his dirty washing in public.

Martian has returned to cyberspace and long may he stay there.

If an engineer is in the field out of hours or weekends, surely the office has to be open to support him?

An extra £5.00 does not cover this cost

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

Hello Bob. It does give an error code FE when the machine is too full but it won’t stop filling. I have cleaned the pressure chamber out and checked for any blockages in the tube. I was kind of narrowing it down to either the pressure switch or some fault with the main board. I wouldn’t know how to test if the switch was indeed faulty?

I have tried getting hold of a replacement switch without much luck. Would you know where I could get one from? I’ve spoken to LG and to be honest they weren’t much help. As you probably know all there parts are supplied by Seme and I’d already spoken to them. They didn’t even have a pressure switch listed on their system so they have sent an ‘enquiry’ out which could take up to three days. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
