Not looking forward too much to getting there though..muddy fields, traffic jams ect but for a free 3 day pass i’ll put up with it. 😛

    Re: Electrue/NESN

😕 Little birdies have made the highly likely reason for this modification is a few have gone on fire (not yet confirmed 😮 )But if this is the case then extra precausion should be taken against the repair..what if this does’nt cure the fault..who’s going to be liable if it is a fire starter ?. 😡
The other reason that was given to a NESN engineer was that the pcb and the pump was not compatible and the pump was giving false readings back to the pcb causing incorrect error codes. 😕
there again though with L.G.’s history of not telling engineers or not wanting engineers to know about faults …who knows. 😈

Re: Indesit W103 programme selector clicks round and round

    Thanks for the response guys.
When I ordered the PCB I was asked for my machine serial number and was sent an identical part. This type however has the Eprom soldered directly to the board and is not removable.
Possibly, I have been sold a faulty panel. If this is he case I may have trouble getting it replaced, the girl on the phone said

We do not accept these parts back. We get several calls saying that the panel we have supplied is faulty.

It makes you wonder doesn’t it.
Is there anywhere I can get it tested? Maybe it just hasnt been programmed. It would be nice to prove it.
Reluctantly I could buy another panel for a further £67 but I may be as well buying a new machine for £200 with 12 months warranty.

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

Dave is right the 5 Year Warranty only applies to certain models sold through Euronics Dealers, John Lewis and Tempo and the WM-1460F(H)D is one of these. The retailer will have had to register the sale with LG and a registration document is then sent to the customer. Without this document the appliance is not covered.

All LG washing machines do have a 2 Year parts and labour warranty as long as the customer still has the purchase receipt.

It must be remembered that if the appliance is repaired or worked on by anyone other than an LG appointed technician the warranty may no longer be valid.

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

How old is your appliance ?.As if its under 2 years old then you will be covered for both parts and labour as long as you have the original purchase receipt,if its over 2 years then all you will e charged is the labour as long as you have purchase details ect.
If you still want the part then e-mailme at r600a@hotmail.com and i’ll send you the details

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

Thanks for your comments Dave and Bryan. My post code is WA4 2BY. I do know an engineer but he has little if any experience with LG machines. Looking at the PCB I would have thought it was a matter of re-plugging like for like? Bryan, could you let me know how much the PCB is?

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

I have come across this problem before and it was the pcb which was at fault, which i have got in stock.I cannot guarantee this is definetly the problem without seeing the appliance but the pcb cured the last one i had.but i have to advise you against working on the appliance without being qualified and any parts fitted are at your own risk, any advise given in this forum should only be acted upon by a suitably qualified person.

as dave has advised, what is your post code.

    Re: LG WM-1460F(H)D

Thanks Dave. Would it not be possible to switch the connections over from the replaced coil to the other coil. I have tried this but it doesn’t make any difference. Will the valve coil voltage and resistance be different on the two cold water valves and the hot water valve?
