Re: after 30 years it just had to happen

If the outlet came off the machine end, how is that your fault? I realise that as the retailer/installer you are the point of contact. But ultimately this is down to the manufacturers.

Pass this to your Your insurers who will act in YOUR interest. One thing insurers are good at and that is not paying out if they can shift the blame, which they will do. If there appears to be a case to answer they will seek redress from the makers.

Looks like this is a “no win no fee” case and someone is hoping to make a lot of money.

Pass the claim over, relax and forget about it. No point in stressing yourself.

    Re: JTM again!

The above posting intrigues me as here I am right on the cusp of these areas in the South West which suddenly seem to have lost cover on the JTM account.

I say this because I am not aware of any person who is operating under the 0800 umbrella in this area, so I wonder who are they now employing to do this work?

Those who as posted earlier that are being compromised by the machinations of JTM can rest assured however, (apart from the fact they haven’t picked up the phone to me) I’m not likely to entertain them at all.

I will come anyway but with a stay at the Hilton costing more than flights to Spain I won’t be staying over.Steve

Funny you say that as I will be in Spain around that time, so I’m out (sadly)

I don’t think the venue is that expensive, Iv’e been thrown out of worse. I would like to attend as I missed the Feb one this year. Can’t be in two places at once though.

Thought it might be, but the who wants to promote that? Love to see similar for when it comes to servicing on behalf of companies. Maybe one day they will approach Amica. tee hee!

Mr Dilley understands very little exept his own ideology.

Jess1ca. Strange though that if you are the JTM agent, you don’t get the work? Either you are second tier, or someone else is.

I thought we were the ones that picked up the calls nobody else wants. Not JTM calls for me though!

    Re: JTM again!

LG are already using 2 work providers. ISDAL agents do LG in certain areas.

I take then Jess1ca being an agent for JTM they don’t pass you the LG calls?

Update, just found it. What an idiot! Poor old Martin stuck his head up & had his brains shot out. He WILL insist on the last word, and to be honest he may as well have it.

    What has he done now?

He is on another planet. He means well but his mouth & brain are in need of a defrag. He posts some wild statements on the Repaircare forum, and TBH I don’t know how he gets away with it. But as long as he does, it dilutes anything Ade or Myself puts on there.

He seems to take pleasure out of winding up others & seeing if they bite.

Also the Orange, apart from looking like Easyjet was the same colour as Connect, now we don’t want that do we?

    I’m getting used to it.

    Re: First Choice Marshalls

Nothing but problems for me. I terminated and was left owing money. We put them on stop several times. They never answered e-mails, voice mails etc.

We used to repair Rangemaster for Milbury Care homes at £70 each. Overnight without notice went to this lot @ £45 each. That didn’t go down well.

The worst part was the British Legion homes. Every call was passed as pre-booked without contact details, no information on the appliance, nothing.

All the Brit Legion complexes were assigned an 0345 number to speak to the warden. Warden rarely picked up ans mach messages yet expected the visit as arranged. We would arrive on site, no warden to be found, nobody knew who needed a repair.

Sometimes get a call for a Fridge, not cold, as always no make/model no contact details. Got hold of the warden and insisted on a model number and for the appliance to be left on. Get there. F/F turned off and was a Lec, if we knew that at least would have taken a stat. Every job that needed parts was a double visit.

Had one where we left 3 messages on a wardens number, so I phoned the tenant as she was on our data base. She was thrilled to bits as fault was reported 2 weeks ago. We arranged the call direct, pre-diagnosed and sorted in one visit.

Next day, stroppy phone call as we acted out of procedure. I wrote to them & terminated that day. No reply or phone call in response.

They may have improved in the last year or so.

    Mike.

The point I was getting at is I’m looking but not bidding. With Auctionsniper I would have to enter a figure, and strange as it may seem, I don’t have a need for this part so I don’t want to win it!.

I bet there are loads of us with this on the watch list, and the seller is probably getting excited re the counter showing views on his item.

l.M.T.G.O.W.I. Watch list is not bidders though, and oddly nobody has put in a bid?

    I’m one of the watchers.
