Can’t get rid of the guy.

Sent another e-mail, so I asked him what about the guy they already use, Dave Britton (Jessica)and what about the 0800.com eng they have appointed for the area.

I also mentioned there was some bad feedback, and not interested.

He came back, asked about this feedback, and asked if that was given by Dave Britton. I told him no, but to try the internet and it is all there.

Came back to me that he tried and found something on UKW but didn’t have trade access. Wanted me to copy/paste. Oh Yeah! I’ve suggested he asks around his office and see who knows what, and reinforced my sentiment I’m not interested.

    Re: zanussi serial no ??

What you have there is 2003 week number 51 (351)

The options are:- Up to 2001 week 22 or from 2001 week 23. So you apply this to the serial number on the rating plate. For example if 121 that will be before the change, and if 124 will be after the change.

    Easy really

No problem at all, last paid 26th April.

They won’t pay until you send a statement, and I’m the same when it comes to paying out. Therefore if I’m slow then it is my fault.

Need to put their money up though.

    They must be desperate.

Left a voice mail yesterday on my office phone, sent 2 e-mails and spoke to one of the girls in the office as well.

I haven’t spoken to him (Raj) but tried to pull out of him by e-mail what they were all about, what were they looking for? He replied that he prefers to meet me face to face. I said I will think about it?

    The answers to your questions.

As our business model is quite sacred to us, I would like to come and meet you and discuss the various propositions and payments in person.
Please let me know what you think. If you would like to meet face-to-face to discuss these opportunities, then please call me on the number below.
Thanks and look forward to your reply

    Kind Regards

If we don’t adapt, we may as well be using Commodores. I said earlier that I recently changed everything IT and this change happened at just the right time.

The point is, do it as what is best for those that do the work behind the scenes, and that is the best manageable means with professionalism thrown in.

I tend to agree with Martin, and if you like the site and a regular user you will adapt and get used to it. Just needs moving out of comfort zones. Didn’t like it the way it was earlier today.

Warm the bolts up first, make sure you have a pristine spanner, preferably with 6 flat faces, and go at them gently.

As I said nothing is forever. So who is there out there that wants a return to Win3.1 I still have a Sinclair Spectrum in my loft, you never know!

It is a case of getting used to it.

    Re: Where’s everybody gone?

In the last month I upgraded my lap-top & home computer to Windows 7

Then I switched from IE-8 to Google Chrome.

As Win 7 doesn’t support Outlook Express I moved over to Firebird.

The old Hotmail account I use for log-ins when browsing such sites as insurance queries etc (saves my normal e-mail address being littered by junk e-mail), I moved to G-Mail.

I upgraded MS Office to 2010 version, meaning Word & Excel has been re-formatted as well

All this was done in the same week, and then finally the changes on this site.

In the grand picture of things as I have moved out of my comfort zone for most things I.T. related, the UKW changes are insignificant.

All I miss is seeing who else is sad enough to be online when I am.

    Nothing is forever.

    Re: Repaircare…

Rumours are probably around the prospect of Currys Tech-Guys being rebranded as Currys Know How.

Here is a line from the Repairacare forum as posted by one of the repairers.

KNOWHOW will also take over the company’s support and protection product ‘Whatever Happens’

May be kite flying, but who knows?
