Taqke a look at the following link. Maple have a bit of a reputation, I don’t know if that still prevails.

Yes as I thought, we can safely get rid of the salt theory and the ferrous materials causing staining. In any case as I said earlier, that tends to be brown rather than pink.
I only put up that idea in case any browsers related a similar scenario, but was due to rust spots.
Strange you are getting this if your’e not cleaning goods that were used with colouring agents. There is no doubt the cause is outside agents, just putting the finger on the problem would be nice.
Just out of intrigue, is this progressivley getting worse, stabilised of even started fading or disappearing? Also have you washed any plastic goods which have come out the same. Would be nice then if such an item could be sent for anaylsis by a boffin. Maybe the detergent company.

I was a bit intrigued by the “earthenware” comment. Would you put such a thing in a D/Washer, as without being glazed? I would anticipate some saturation.
The effect caused by ferrous materials in the water supply is certainly a valid point, and would explain perhaps the effects might not be food colouring related. However, I tend to find that is age related, especially if the machine is connected to a hot supply. You would then have a leeching effect of the Xeolite crystals in the regeneration chamer, and transfer of rust following a build up from the water supply. That gives the effect of staining on cutlery in spots that look like tea leaves. (Don’t presume that the words Stainless steel actually mean that). In addition the inner liner would look a copper colour.
Perhaps the regeneration facility isn’t working. The salt should need topping up once a month assuming normal daily use. Worth knowing the time scale in this case and whether salt is in fact being used. How many months/weeks old is this machine?

Well, It seems that thankfully Ken has successfully got rid of him……….. Or Has He? I am aware that there has been some e-mail traffic regards this tosser, and it seems like he is the sort that must have the last word.
This git I’m sure will sneak in the back door, I’m convinced he will not go away. A little admission though, I purposely called him an ambulance chaser as his prevoius post which more or less told me to mind my own business deserved that type of relpy. I daresay most of you worked that out anyway.
If he does and gets caught, I’d like to see it go public just to tell the world what he is really like. Wishful thinking perhaps.

They tried to get me to do 2 the other day. We cannot keep up with what we already have, let alone take on more work.
It was hard work convincing them that we could not oblige, but I suggested another repairer and that was that.
Perhaps Mr “Leavemetogetonwithit” from Penzance knows them as they come from Bodmin.
I think they would have paid our chargeable rate.
Win some lose some I suppose.

Click on the link and use your arrow keys to get Santa drunk.
Don’t touch the train track! Seems easy to start with, and if you take a drink at the same time as Santa, you may be able to handle things better.
NOT the Mouse, but the ARROW keys to take Santa to his goal of complete alcoholic oblivion!

May I thank those that took up cudgels upon my behalf. Softus was getting very personal I have to say, and he levelled some of his vitriol straight at me. Yes he was out of order, but I would have handled it. Never mind, he needed his comeuppance I suppose.
I didn’t ask that he be removed, however it may have been just as well, I was up for a fight and would have kept at it, in perhaps another subject heading. I may beg to differ on some occasions, but in this case I could see Softus was trying to make an issue out of something, and perhaps leading Millymog on a wild goose chase. Poor lass is stressed enough regards the dishwasher and I’m sure she doesn’t need anyone making bullets for her to fire.
I realise he meant well in supporting Millymog, but the way he addressed himself and his total display of arrogance tainted the subject. (It is bad enough the inside of the dishwasher being tainted).
Please don’t dispair Millymog, by all means insist upon a service visit, or perhaps a letter explaining why this has happened, and then use that as a tool to seek a discount or to reject. But please don’t use Softus as your council for the prosecution.

That e-mail address is Pinnacle Ins Co. Ltd of Cardiff, should that mean anything. Normally they operate out of Borehamwood, but all the payments come from Cardiff.
Don’t know what they are doing with Leisure though, I know Rangemaster use their own network either direct or agents. I also know that to get a repair or part on a Flavel Leisure is nearly impossible.

Tim Cooke according to his e-mail address.
Awfully nice but dim.
He’s a bloody plumber, then why and how come he thinks he is almost Queens Council.
I need to put him on an ignore list or else it will start getting personal.

That’s for millimog to say, not you or anyone else.
Because I’m a realist, not an ambulance chaser.
As far as I’m concerned………… Subject closed & move on.

ParticipantRe: Best Van to buy?
Not a lot in it really.
Depends on what size you are looking for, whether you want the same size again with all the running costs and parking difficulties or go for the Berlingo Kangoo size.
There are bargains to be had as I bought 2 Puegeot Partners this year, for around £6495 each inc tax and delivery charges etc. We have 3 Ford Transit Connect with the side opening door as well, very good vans but they chew up front tyres in about 8k due to a steering fault that Ford has chose to ignore. Hence going Puegeot.
I never look towards selling costs, (Residuals) as by the time we change them they have done all I need, and if I can get a few hunderd, then that will do. I’ve got a 1999 Ford Courier (Small Fiesta type thing) for sale. Serviced every 7k, spent some money on it in the last few months on rear suspension etc. Good little van though, done about 147k Tax Mot £395 + vat if anyone is interested.

ParticipantRe: CDSL
We turn away ALL Brandt chargeable.
To start with I thought we may get a phone call from CDSL or someone, nothing.
We had one today for a cooker I/G on a site that has just been completed, and she was out. We normally don’t give am/pm appointments in December as without time constraints we can fit more calls in. However this one was a cow, we made her wait a week for the appointment and took all mobile numbers etc. so if we were running ahead we could make contact and advise on the day.
Engineer phoned Mr. at about 12.15 and he said he would be there at 1.00. Engineer arrived at 1.15, no access. Sat outside was someone from the builders, he had been there from just after 12.00. Phoned mobiles, his was on A/Machine hers was turned off. So he sat there until 1.45 and then threw the towel in. On my instructions he left an invoice for £40 + vat. (Normally it is £24 + vat, but she was a BRANDT Customer) She phoned up at 2.25 and tried to re-book the call, we told her not until she paid so she slammed the phone down.
I don’t need time wasters like that this time of year, and when I get the begging phone call from D.P. asking me to go back; not till she pays matey-boy, and not till after Xmas, she should have been there. The last one I had like that CDSL paid the abortive fee.
The more grief I can give Bordesley Green about Brandt, the more I will pile it on. I still hate them.

ParticipantRe: Second opinion request
Incredible.
Before I was half way down the page I knew who you meant. They have blitzed Yellow pages in this area with “gost” telephone numbers of all the deccent sized towns. Ripping people off left right and centre, even carries a new machine in the back of the van just in case. They then tell the customer that they have one that is earmarked for a delivery later in the day, “but if want this one Madam I can get another later on for the customer I was delivering this one to tonight”.
We had a similar tale to the one Martin just related, but turned on its head.
We made a call to an insured product upon which we tried in vain to convince the customer there was no fault. As we had been several times for the same, and having got fed up of subsidising the customer’s whims and fancies, we decided to charge the customer. Naturally that was met with a tirade of abuse; but the point is as from then on, we can say, “Sorry, no can do, there is an outstanding invoice”.
So many moons later, she calls out this lot. They tell her that the bearings have gone, there is a module fault and the pump is worn out, she may as well buy a new one. Strange thing is, that was last August, and she is still using the machine, unrepaired and in a so called clapped out state. She is convinced though that they are right and we are wrong, as she still has the original fault.
Talk about an early diagnosis.
