Re: Hotpoint mistral ??72p fridge overheating frezzer fine..

yes they do just unclip , but its worth a look to see if the condensor is all clogged up (located behind the plinth at bottom of unit) as this will cause the fridge to become warm if all blocked up with fluff and pet hairs . there is also a cooling fan located behind this which also is prone to faliure and again will create the symptoms you describe . Feel around the cabinet where the fridge door seals to . if it is warm/hot you can almost guarantee its a problem with cooling of the condensor

    I think you’ll find that its a t40 torx bit for these martin.and not t35 . 😯 ,
Skylark the bearings are located in the aluminum spider which is bolted to the rear of the drum and access and the job can be done without removal of the drum , but as martin said the drums are only very thin tin so care is needed and the torx bolts are usually very tight especially the one holding the pulley on . And as well as the obvious ( electricity suppy disconnected) beware of sharp edges as these machines can have razor sharp edges internally

Re: Help with Hotpoint Ultima please!

The back is not removerble on these machines , and if you need to replace the belt they can be a real pig to get on as they are a stretch belt and access is very limited. My advise would be to call an engineer because youll probably end up removing all the skin from your knuckles trying to fit a belt

Yes the codes are the same as Ariston . Usually ends up being a module fault (module c00099905 , eeprom 1604740) . bear in mind that its the 3 phase module which has a large capacitor , Takes approx 5-10 mins to discharge after disconnecting from electricity supply. (dont want any burnt fingers do we 😀 ) This module is used on all new ari and hpt vogue 4 1600 spin machines.

F5E2 means that the main oven temp has been sensed too high , over 325 degree . Time to call an engineer ( ariston products have a 5 year parts gtee)

Re: Help please!! Washer wont drain

if it drains via gravity i would suspect a faulty pump or jammed impellor in the pump as it is unlikely to be a blockage. small objects can sometimes get through the filter and become lodged between the pump impellor and pump body

Penguin45 wrote:The door seal comprises of the rubber strip, which should sit in a channel formed by the detatched metal strip. This was originally spot welded to the cavity. There is no recognised repair (unless you can weld stainless steel), although people have tried securing with tiny self-tappers with varying degrees of success.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

there is a recognised repair , your right about the self tappers . you drill three holes either side of the through the retainer strip and through the inner cavity and also three across the top then run a seem of silicone sandwiched between the two and secure with self tappers in the 9 pre drilled holes . there is a kit available from indesit which contains a tube of silicone and 9 screws and a drill bit . can find part number if you require
