Participanthi Dave there are 3 numbers on the pulley. 41017885, 41024466, 41024467.
you were correct in identifying the correct pulley number. i have taken it off and yes there is excessive wear on the pulley splines nearest to the drum it self. can you guys supply the part?thanks tony

Participantthanks Dave. i kept tightening the bolt and asked my misses to be a bit more conscious about the load weight. 4 washes in and it still behaving itself. my misses ordered a new washing machine as she is also fed up of slamming the door to get the magnet lock to engage and lock, i straighten the latch gently.
a theory question : how would the pulley wear to cause the bolt not grip and slip?
are we talking mechanical wear and tear of the bolt housing due to the rotational motion?
the washing machine is about 7 years old and i previously changed the heating element on a previous fault stated on here.
thank you
Tony

Participantcan this puley bolt simply be unscrewed and removed without the drum dropping out of position?

Participantthe pulley is on espares with a similar question regarding a pully bolt loosening. they replied “Check the bolt securing the pulley and the drum shaft has not been damaged stopping it from tightening.” i will get the part number requested thank you

Participantthere is a circular disc in the middle of the belt pulley with a star bit screw. this was loose. i tightened it up a bit by holding the drum still from the front. its working itself loose and i dont know whats behind it but if sounds like the sprocket teeth are worn or not engaging due to wear and tear. just getting by with a half load at the moment.

Participantthe motor is working fine. it is like the steel drum is loose under load

Participantthanks Dave I have taken the back cover off to observe. The motor is turning the belt is moving around but the silver central spindal is baggy and just gently rocking side to side as if its slipping. Like a record being held on a turnable slip mat. I am going to see if the fixing is loose.

ParticipantRe: BAUMATIC BDI631 NOT HEATING WATER
I have just checked the dishwasher after its finished a cycle.
It seems to be lukewarm and clean inside after a 10 minute wait period.
So there is some heat getting to the dishwasher. Puzzled

some progress : I managed to snap the door switch trying to get it unlock so I have to repair that now also and would welcome the easy way to get to it to replace it.
The dishwasher started to work and I though it might be door switch related. It go through about ten minutes of its cycle and was at a refill point and was not filling or counting down.
I shook it gently and I think the solenoid valve opened and it started to fill and proceed with its cycle.
Do inlet valves get sticky? Or is it door switch related ?

In addition to the post I would like to add that when we drain the water collecting in the base, the pump constatly is trying to empty and the timer does not count down. it does stop when i physically move the the red float switch.
It so strange thatboth dishwashers have the same fault.
I can confirm that the inlet hose is working fine and the pressure is direct from the mains and not from a water tank.
Thanks

I put the machine on a cold short wash yesterday. it got down to 3 minutes before the end and conked out with e03. i may have 2 problems at the same time here. -
