    Hi helo_75,
    You were right, the switch behind the front bottom righthand panel was faulty.

    Hi,
    Many thanks for the advice. The condenser unit has a rubber gasket on each end. There is also two rubber strips either side of the recess in the door – would it help if I removed these from the door.

    Many thanks for the information. Can you let me know the method for fitting the new belt as I am having trouble reaching the pulley. AH
