    Re: Hoover inter@ct

Certain manufacturers are most unhelpful and will not release technical information which is our biggest problem with this make. Our parts are purchased from a national distribution centre and we tend to go for the company who can get the parts the quickest as people cannot be without a fridge/freezer, but sometimes parts do take longer than expected. I do agree that these parts have taken too long and I am looking into the matter with our supplier.
Steve, I now have received technical information on your appliance and as I understand Lorna has booked you in for Wednesday to which I will attend the call.
When our first engineer visited, apparently the freezer was not working but the fridge was. He fitted a new control/defrost module and now the freezer is working but the fridge is too cold. I attended the last visit to see if the boards were replaced and to diagnos problem to obtain technical information and had to defrost thick ice from the top side of the freezer evaporator.
I will see you tommorrow morning before twelve and thank you for your patience

    Regards

    Re: Any Ladies Present?

Hi guys and girls (got to be careful here)

I would not mind having a female engineer to work within our company because of this:
How many blokes would argue over the repair cost and not pay for the repair there and then, when we all know a woman has an iron toungue.

Maybe we can all go on a major recruiting spree across the country for repair women and pay them the same as the blokes. Might even put the worst engineers noses out of joint or it might even make them work harder, increase our profit, stop man flu and all the moaning that goes with the job.

Silver/platinum thing like a catylitic convertor.

Its not radioactive by any chance? 😈

A bit of plutonium will kill of any germs and odours, probably customers too will be walking around glowing 💡

    Food for thought

    Hi Lawrence
The halogen bulb creates the fast heat needed for cooking. The normal ring should only come on very faintly when the halogen has died down just to keep the output temperature ticking over. You will be able to see this slight glow from the element. 😉

    Re: Clothes Testing

    Hi Ken

The staining is mainly on white clothes. These stains are like a fine clear oil marking, no colour at all and there is no regular pattern.
The bearings in the machine are fine but when I pulled back the door seal you could see the residue comfort. It was not the regular comfort, it was concentrate. So went through proceedure of customer education again saying: dilute the comfort with water and then pour into tray, run the machine through on a boil wash to rid of residue plus use a descaller, bla, bla bla.
Well, after asking to see the products she uses, the following was noted. Detergent was a detergent and fabric conditioner all in one and the comfort was a concentrate. Advised customer she was way overdosing the machine with fabric conditioner which was the cause of all her troubles. Would she have any of it. “NO WAY!! I am always careful with the dosage as my son has exthma which is getting worse due to my washingmachine not cleaning properly” she said.
I cannot argue with someone who cannot help themselves by not taking good friendly advice so I asked to take the items away to which she said yes. She has been told not to expect the items back due to testing proceedures and could be looking any time between now and three weeks away before hearing anything.

Thanks Ken, I’ll buy you a pint or two next time I see you

    Mmmmmmm

Not a nice job to do at all. The enamel coming away from the liner can only mean one thing. Cavity change!!!!!

The last one I done took me 3 hours as it was the microwave/cooker version but it took me 3 weeks to pick the small fibres from out of my itchy skin. 😯 I was quite impressed though, I had no screws left over. 😀

    Best of luck
    Andy G 😉

    Hi

IG I think might be a Kuppersbusch or a Blanco model number. Kuppersbusch are now in with teka but Blanco have stopped producing appliances so I have been told.

£49,999!!!! Small fish in big ocean 😯
Cheap labour, I hope he/she got the money upfront before they asked for the itemised bill.

The best appliance/idea I think was from Stoves. Who would think to drill a hole through the armature shaft of the main oven fan motor and stick a gas jet the other side of it to make the fan blade gauze glow cherry orange/red whilst heating the oven cavity. HOW MUCH DID THAT ENGINEER GET PAID and IS HE STILL WORKING or did he settle for early retirement.

    Ha Ha Ha

Can anyone tell me whilst under this topic heading, where the WEEE Directive comes into place, and because of the WEEE Directive does it mean certain manufacturers will have to put appliance prices up so money goes into the pot for the machines end of life fund to be recycled.

    Sorry, had to laugh.
