ParticipantRe: Electrue/NESN
It seems that nesn have picked up some more work from hotpoint and hoover that they say will be 35000 calls a year.
The question was asked how we are to repair products that we do not have the special laptops or software to diagnose and who is paying for it. Or are we supposed to just blindly throw parts at these machines.

ParticipantRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
It appears that the rumour is no longer a rumour.

Good luck to them.
Still no notification from connect.

Point made. My apologies if I overstepped the mark.

No more than I have heard so the use of the word apparently is important. Which also does not make it libellous as it was not stated to be absolutely factual.
It could be just a rumour.

ParticipantRe: The 0800 Thread
I saw mr feek at the meeting of friday which was brilliant.
He did not look like a happy man. My bet is that is not a situation that will change anytime soon.
Mr greenberg is apparently looking for a job as is quinto. If things keep moving in the current direction they may not be the only ones with rumours of mistakenly submitted but false claims and all manners of things surrounding jtm.
Meanwhile the repair agents are made to foot the bill with rejections from the distant past.
Glad I no longer work for them as I do well to pay for my own mistakes without paying for someone else mucking it up. Or was it a mistake or a way to extract much needed cash?

ParticipantRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
They have lost the currys work.
Also heard that they have picked up a load of work from comet.
Pity nobody has been told as notice was served a while ago.

You may see this theme as bad but for the people that might have splashed out cash on a worthless franchise it could be viewed as a godsend that saved them thousands.
I wonder if the franchises that have quit would agree.
I have been informed that the numbers are dwindling and the few that remain are not happy.
Redundancies from senior management have also occurred at jtm/0800 amid some very serious claims of wrongdoing on their part.

ParticipantRe: *** Feb Whitegoods Conference ***
With all that is going on I will be really interested to see what happens at this meeting.
Some very interesting people attending. I know british gas are there looking for subcontract engineers and I would not be surprised at a few others doing the same from what I hear.
I will be there as one never knows what contacts or work you might pick up. It would be stupid not to make the effort.
I have to hand it to the wta and ukw, this is probably going to be one of the best meetings ever held that we muppets are involved in. Sorry ken I couldn’t resist it.

ParticipantRe: Rejected Claims
It is JTM and Baumatic.
If they don’t pay us back immediately they are on stop. I will publish the emails.
Raging mad would not even begin to describe how we feel about this.
If this is not reversed immediately all calls in our system will be cancelled for this company and I really do not care if they go elsewhere as someone else can not be paid or have this sort of threat hanging over them for years.
We will work for neither if this is the way that they are to treat us.

ParticipantRe: The 0800 Thread
I have spoken with 0800 franchises that are not happy as they paid a lot of money and do not seem to be getting the promised returns. If only they had read these forums before parting with their cash they may have been aware.
I have also been told that there are a number of 0800 vans all sign written that are sitting about doing nothing due to there being a contract in place to take them but nobody to give them to. That is why some of you that carry out work for JTM may have been offered a van without actually being a franchise. Getting some money back on them that way is better than them rusting in the car park.
It looks as if 0800s plans for domination have come to a halt.

ParticipantRe: Independent Service
I heard word on Friday late that there may be more trouble than just with independent service but perhaps the whole group.

ParticipantRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
I just wish it was over with one way or another.
This work from currys has just been a nightmare as every few years we seem to be back here over and over.

ParticipantRe: comet
There are rumours that the new owners are to do away with service but how accurate that is I am not sure.

ParticipantRe: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts
I have heard that currys have served notice on connect.
Three months roughly and all the currys work is being taken in house to currys who have a new call centre to do it all in Newark. The work is not going back to the agents that currently carry out the work.
