    Excellent work, my sincere thanks to Ken, Dave and Kevin for all the hard work that has gone into this project. This is a great step forward for the Whitegoods industry.

    I read all your comments with interest and agree with some.
    I agree with JP about not burning bridges, you never know when you might need them or find that an ex employee of that company moves to a position of power in one of your best contracts! It has already happened from NESN to Whirlpool!
    The industry is a very small palce and word travels fast, if you are not happy with a contract, pull out and leave well alone, there is no point trying to drag them through the mud as it rarely sticks and can often backfire on you.

    I am a businessman, I make my own decissions on evidence I have gathered through my own research and feedback from reliable contacts.

    This is what I am doing currently with NESN, no decission has yet been reached, conversations with senior staff are taking place this week.

    I am not on my own with this line of enquiry, each of you know who has been approached and those companies will make there own decissions about the prospect.

    I have nothing to hide, and I will be asking all the right questions in a similar vain to the suggestions in Kevins earlier post.

    I will report back as soon as I have more news. 😀

    Good Morning everyone, 😀

    This NESN topic is very interesting, I have an email from Jo stating that she is currently working on a project that will return all post codes to the members that resigned after the Connect fiasco.

    I resigned earlier this year and my three months notice ended in May, so I still have until November before I am released from the clauses within the contract (even though I didn’t sign one)!

    I have been passed several local calls already and have been told by Jo that Ms Madden will be contacting me next week to discuss the way forward!

    I will report back in full once the discussion has taken place. 😀

    Hi Guys, thanks for the vote of confidence. I don’t blame you for excluding me previously, as my collusion with the enemy could have been seen as hostile! As it was , I came out with some very useful information that I know was used wisely! (I also lost my virginity on that mission)!!! 😈

    I am sure that Domestic & General are the WP for this manufacturer.
    Be careful dealing direct with Daewoo as they have a very poor reputation for paying.
    I know that Key Electronics who were WP for brown goods have been shafted big time by this company and will do well to survive!

    I have just spent a couple of hours with Darren Harrison in his new role as National Accounts Manager for Whirlpool.
    We had a very interesting conversation about his old firm and their future. 😯

    With this new information, and the kind advice from fellow DASA members, I have now decided to decline the NESN offer of work and other great things. 😀

    Please inform our friends in Cumbria of my decission, I am sure it will make their day! 😀

    The above managers are very hard to get hold of, you might be as well speaking to HR at Box Clever for your local managers numbers.

    Please dont release these numbers to everyone, lets keep them in the war room.

    J.T came to see me yesterday, and clearly said that he was on a witch hunt for members doing MFI work. There would be no exceptions, they will be terminated.

    He also went on to say he would sue anyone who breaks their contract.

    J.T said Mark had decided to leave the network and he was sorry to loose him.

    His visit to me was really a big PR job, with promises of great things!

    The hub and spoke idead was aired again, and he really sees this as the way forward.

    I have been left with a lot to think about, I will be speaking to you all during the week for your input.

    Endeva do have their own whitegoods engineers, many hundreds of them!

    Earlier this year, Endeva closed several regional service centres and made over one hundred engineers redundant.
    I was quick of the mark and phoned their HR dept offering jobs for two engineers. They were extremely gratefull for the call, and I soon had a string of hopefulls through my door.

    I took on two engineers from the Manchester area, they had both received 15 to 20k redundancy. The next day, I received a call from them both explaining that Endeva had contacted them offering their old jobs back, they would be allowed to keep their redundancy money!

    It is this sort of incompetency that has led to their final demise in my opinion.

    I have some good contacts at senior level within Endeva, I will post details next week, please feel free to contact them and add your name to the list of prospective employers.

    The engineers are not multi brand, their expertise is with Whirlpool and some Hotpoint products only, unfortunately you wont find gas trained engineers either.

    Todays meeting with JT cancelled again! Maria said JT got a phone call after lunch to inform him that Endeva had gone in to receivership this morning. He was called back to the office to arrange meetings with the clients effected by the Endeva demise! 🙁

    I have several contacts within Endeva, and they handle a lot of whitegoods installs and repairs, quite a lot of Whirlpool work also.

    I think NESN are more interested in the stacks of browngoods work Endeva handled.

    Keep your ears to the ground, Network DASA could be called upon soon 😀

    Last time I got mixed up with PESN it cost me close to 30k 😥

    Believe me, I am going into this with my eyes wide open 😯

    Hi All,

    had a call Friday morning from J.Ts secretary, asking if they can change the meeting to Wed 22.9.03 to enable other NESN staff to atend also! 😯

    The plot thickens, I think they are very interested in my brown goods business. This is the work I am really interested in, and I know this is far more secure as this is the backbone of NESN. 😀

    May be used as a carrot though! 😥

    I will report full details on Wednesday. 😈

    I gave 30 days notice to jtm on Monday this week, payments were patchy and we often turned up at jobs to find another company had been before us. No good for my business. 😥
