The most likely case to your problem is your water valve. Sediment can get through the filter were water pipe connects to appliance not allowing valve to close properly. Valve will test alright on a multimeter or in diagnostic mode as it is not an electrical fault.

Found two faults. 1- There was a blockage in hose pipe at “y” joint which pushes into soap dispenser hose. 2- When machine started to spin water was coming from the overflow pipe from soap drawer to top of drum and was starting to flood base. Everthing appears ok at present.

It’s possible your circulating pump has failed. There is two types of pumps fitted to Diplomat/Whirlpool dishwashers. One looks like an oversized drain pump and these are now superseeded by a revised pump which has a capacitor attached to it. If your pump is the revised version you could try a new capacitor. Look on side of capicitor and you will see the type required eg “5uf” which your local spres shop will require.

Problem could be your circulating pump. If you look at circulating pump does it look like a bigger version of drain pump. These give alot of trouble and are replaced with a revised circulating pump. The revised pump has got a capacitor attached to the side and if this is the style of pump the capicitor may need to be replaced?

Re: Bosch SGS0922 Pump pulsing when starting

Try changing the capacitor on the side of circulating pump. there is a number eg 5uf on side of capacitor which you can give to supplier. Should cost less than £10. Failing that it would look like a mfault in the pump.
