    Re: Samsung Washing Machines

I`ve been out to Samsung machines sold after this date and done them as a warranty call in their second year.

Are you saying they are trying to change it now with machines they have already sold? This would certainly be illegal as it states in the paperwork given to the customer with the appliance that it covers parts and labour for 24 months.

Madmac I`m not sure if this fault affected your model but there was a problem with boards where resistor R1 was not of a high enough wattage and went open circuit regularly. Worth a check. I`ve fitted new boards and its gone on the first wash.

    Hi Petalpop,

Give me your email address and I will send you a file with a drawing and you can pick the part you need. Save any confusion.

I think the picture on connect is wrong because its a picture of the relay for a hotpoint dryer.

I get part no. 2863400500 for the Beko element and part no. 2863700500 is the one with the NTC

For once, I`m in total agreement with Martin.

We all make mistakes but it`s how we go about putting them right that makes the difference.

Chris I wasn`t suggesting you were trying to wriggle out of your responsibilities, I was just saying what I would do.

And ATEOTD you may be right, they may be trying it on, but is it worth the hassle? 😉

Re: Should I refund the money.

I don`t know about “legally” but morally I think if you took their money and the fault was back within a couple of hours , which I would take was the first time they used it, and you then tell them you can`t return for 3 days then I think any customer would try and get it fixed sooner and expect their money back.

I would refund them. But that`s just my view. 😉

Jim, I`m beginning to think you have a sump hose fettish 😀

(and I know I`ve spelt fettish wrong but it wouldn`t let me post otherwise)

Why not click on “find an engineer” at the bottom of your post.

You`ll get someone who has signed up to the UKW charter.
