Thanks iadom. Is such a fault to the door wiring harness usually worth repairing or is it time to move on to a new machine?

ParticipantRe: Fitting new oven element to Neff 1552 fan oven
I appreciated the forum rules regarding wiring. Can anyone give me a link to a wiring diagram for the fan oven of a Neff 1552 or would that too be against the rules?

ParticipantRe: Intermittant fan on main oven of Neff U1552
Thank you both for your replies. KWATT, I would probably go for the cheaper replacement fan if it will suit my oven. The numbers on the nameplate are U1552NOGB/01 FD7812. Perhaps you could check if the cheaper fan is compatible.
Thankyou and regards, bigjohn

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Super Plus 7822 with 8 hour cycle!
Hi Jim
Hose is connected to a hot supply as we were told the wash cycle would be quicker as we have a plentiful supply of hot water. But I suppose the hot water makes the hose more pliable and liable to kinking.

Thanks for your help Jim.
I checked the supply hose and found it had a kink in it so will try machine with a new hose next week. Outlet hose is connected directly to a hose spigot branch that is attached to the U bend of the kitchen sink. I will try the machine with the hose temporarily hooked over the side of the sink to see if back-siphonage was the problem.
Thanks again, John

Thanks Penguin 45
It seems I can order just the part I need. If I get stuck when trying to fit the new component into the main switch I may be back on for more help!

Jim, thanks for your reply.
I tried the prewash and rinses cycles and each took about 4 to 5 hours to complete. Heater seems to be heating ok but staying on for too long?
Does it sound like a timer problem?
