A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A young student nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath. “Nurse,”‘ he mumbles from behind the mask, “are my testicles black?” Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, “I don’t know, Sir. I’m only here to wash your upper body and feet.” He struggles to ask again, “Nurse, please check for me. Are my testicles black?” Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his testicles gently in the other. She looks very closely and says, “There’s nothing wrong with them, Sir. They look fine.” The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her, and says very slowly, “Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen very, very closely:
    Are – my – test – results – back?”

It’s normally people who bake cakes complain of uneven browning with fan ovens.

After checking fan element, motor and thermostat, I’m out of ideas, never got to the bottom of a uneven fan oven cooking problem.

Yes top off too I’m afraid even then access is limited by the gas pipes, good luck.

( I’m assuming the ‘big squirrel’ is the very long tangential cooling fan!)

Its amazing you guys are still using Yell.

I stopped when the Yellow pages book stopped. I remember they wanted basically the same amount for the listing on their website than they wanted for the printed advert in the book which is completely ridiculous in my mind.

I took pleasure in telling the pushy reps where to go, no effect on business at all.

Just claimed my grant from the government, very easy to do, should be in my bank within 6 days.

Seems like the government have found a pot of cash from somewhere. Strange with all the talk going on about austerity, but time to cash in.

I’ve never been so busy on the work front, lots of engineers furloughed and Currys etc delivering but not installing appliances, work coming out of my ears, 11 jobs today, yesterday and 8 tomorrow! 🙂

QER’s ebay shop says they are closed for a minimum of the next 3 weeks because of COVID19.

Hopefully they will return, nice to have a few options for my module repairs.

Just seen this, as others have said, thank god they are gone.

Shocking business model, taking advantage of the financially naive and poorest demographic for way too long

You should think about getting the old one repaired Michael.

The old ones last longer, better for the environment etc.

What wrong with the old one?

Yep very quiet out there, no jobs today, 3 tomorrow and nothing lined up for the rest of the week.

I have a bag of parts that I’ve ordered for people that there now too scared for me to fit. Funny as they were all asking how quickly I can get the parts before Covid19.

I read that sales of appliances from Currys have gone up 24 per cent.

When machines go wrong people for some reason think it’s easier / safer to replace than repair.

Apparently it will take 12-18 months before a vaccine is found so I wonder how quickly this industry will take to recover

Been thinking about claiming the 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, I wonder if it will be like Universal Credit and Council Tax Support where you only qualify if you can demonstrate hardship by having savings under £16,000?

    so quiet out there.

had two jobs to fit parts today, both customers cancelled as there too scared for me to come into their homes.

Roll on June until we can claim 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
