does door fit properly?, does light go off when door closed?. Is it an exposed evaporator, if so can you reposition the capilary end to a different position on the evap plate?

Put the new interlock in a plastic bag to protect it from future water damage.

thanks canufixit, dial rotates but does not engage microswitch (unless you press it in really hard), the cogs on the roating dial just miss the microswitch. (microswich is ok)Tried taking it out and refitting washer but still the same, also seems alot of movement in dial. Didnt dare get the junior hacksaw out and shortening the shaft, might do this if I see this prob again. will just order part i think.

    Re: LG WM1480FHD Bearings

I have changed the bearings on these, it is a tub job. Make sure you get the right bearings for them as a few kits 4 including WD bearing kit. Hopefully you wont need to change the cross piece as its really expensive and makes it not viable. I can recomend a good place to get the bearing kit if you need.
Not a too bad tub job really, fairly easy to take of and replace the direct drive motor and plate.

cant believe people are actually recomending white knight, unbelievable!. Used to fix them in first year of guarantee. When you go into someones house and see beko electric oven, indesit washer and white knight dryer you normally know what to expect from the cheapest appliances.
Think thay just have the edge over the hotpoint dryers though, just.

ha ha You lot really are machine nerds! that said seem to remember seeing a brown AEG’s with swing doors and a base plate similar to this but with a pump in. Never saw this machine in 5 years with service force.

    Re: Zanussi dishwasher problem

sounds like motor fault, normally they will wash but not reverse (empty) when faulty. Sounds like yours is not washing either, if this is the case sounds like it has seized. Check its getting 240V, if so order another one.
