I can’t help with part numbers but I do have a CDA WC370IN in my “used parts” pile that has good hinges and I know they are the same. Do you need a pair?

As electrofix says you cant always tell from a photo. I have seen elements that look perfect but there is zero continuity through them.
The crumbling plastic is not usually an issue as it will happen with most plastics when heated for long periods. Just so long as there is no chance of the connector shorting out on the casing it will be fine.
I had a customer call me out to a faulty oven but it turned out to be the clock needed a reset after a power cut. oops!

Have you checked the anti flood system? Maybe a stuck microswitch or jammed float?
Inlet valves can test OK but still not allow water to pass. Check power is going to the inlet valve after initial drain sequence. depending on the model it may take a minute. Also check the pressure switch hose for blockages or the operation of the pressure switch. 30 seconds cut off is usually a time out of the pre wash drain. It may still think there is water in the appliance but its actually a pressure switch fault.
If no luck with any of them and no error codes flashing then I think your diagnoses is correct.

240 ohms is a very high resistance, are you sure it wasn’t 24 ohms?
You guessed correctly. The periodic spikes are consistent with the defrost cycle, although I thought they should be further apart i.e. 16 hours or thereabouts, but I guess it differs between manufacturers. it looks too consistent a pattern to be a fault.IIRC there are two heaters on that type of fridge freezer. The first one is the defrost heater and the second is the drain heater. Have you tested both of them?
My money would be on a faulty temperature sender that’s linked to the overheat alarm.

Try cleaning out the hoses to the pressure switch. I had a similar issue with an AEG last year in a holiday home. It had been sat for some time and the last person who used it never let it drain completely before opening the door. When I got to it the dw was full of congealed fat and rotten food particles. A good clean out and a new pressure pipe (the pipe was solid with gunk) and an intense wash with bicarb and the thing worked a treat.

Part number is 3871762542 do a search on google for the part if your supplier can’t provide it for you. Ebay is also a good bet for finding old stock that is being sold off.

I had the same issue and a candy oven few weeks ago .
Initially I thought the customer had not set the timer on the oven so the oven would not operate. When I got there I found that the fan motor had failed and that in turn had led to the element burning out. I replaced the fan motor and element and it was good as new.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint aquarius dishwasher error
What model dishwasher is it? The Aquarius name covers several models of dishwasher. The product code and model number can usually be found on a sticker on the inside of the door (usually on the door itself)
There is usually a flashing light sequence associated with error codes. It usually equates to either the light that are lit up and flashing or the number of flashes and from experience Hotpoint appliances tend to go with the light that are flashing.

OK so I should have read all the posts in the thread. Looks like I’m not the only one who has had issues with these. I will be getting back to them tomorrow :grr:

ParticipantRe: rubbish non genuine dryer capacitors
Sorry to dig up an old post but this is an issue I have been having with Qualtex capacitors just recently.
I fitted a 10uF cap to my own (thankfully) Beko condenser dryer last year. I had refurbished this dryer and fitted it with a brand new motor and decided to keep it to replace my old trusty white knight vented dryer. At the same time as the motor swap I replaced the cap but 2 months later the cap failed. I put it down to a bad cap and replaced it with another 10uF also from Qualtex (bought at the same time). One month later I set the dryer going and was sat in my kitchen having a brew. The first I knew about it was a friend shouted that my dryer was on fire and in super fast speed we managed to get the dryer outside and douse the flames. I had a friend from the fire service come round and confirm my suspicions that it was indeed the capacitor that was at fault. It was the only component to have been completely destroyed and it was at the centre of the fire. Even the burn pattern on the drum pointed to the location of the capacitor. Qualtex told me there were no reported issues with the capacitors and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and put it down to a freak incident.
Now, a few weeks ago I get called out to a dishwasher that I worked on in November. I replaced a 10uF capacitor on the wash pump but the customer rings me to tell me that the appliance has stopped washing and smoke was coming from under the appliance. I get there to find the capacitor has a hole burnt in the side of it. After some pretty rigorous testing and inspection of the wiring, hoses and motors etc. I found that the capacitor was the only component that was damaged and the rest of the appliance was in good working order. I swapped it for a genuine capacitor I had on the van and the dishwasher showed no other issues. I stayed with that dishwasher for quite sometime running and repeating tests to make sure the appliance was safe. Once again I have approached Qualtex and they are still saying there have been no reported issues with these capacitors. I have sent them a report and images of both the fire damaged appliance and the damaged capacito and I’m waiting for a reply.I have since visited all my customers where I have fitted Qualtex 10uF caps and replaced them FOC with genuine caps. I’m now significantly out of pocket but its worth it for piece of mind knowing that my customers appliances are safe. I am about to send Qualtex the old capacitors for testing on their request.
Has anyone else experience failures like these?
The failed caps are both 10uF as I said and they are badged up “Last One”

I will check the board when there again next week. Its a holiday let and I only had limited time on this occasion as the person letting me in had to get back to work. Spent most of my time removing the kitchen units to get the damn thing out. Oh I hate integrated appliances!!
