Re: Motor for a zan fl1016/a

I phoned Highmist last week with an enquiry and they told me that they no longer deal with reconditioned motors. They gave me tel. no. of the supplier 01484 645536.You could try them but I was not very impressed with the conversation I had, so decided to just pay the extra for a new motor. When I gave them the part no. they said “well it might be this one we`ve got here but not sure”.Enough said.

Martin, I don`t understand this remark as we are in the trade forum 😕
You might want to re-read post top to bottom.
As I said I would have liked to remove float unit but very small kitchen and customer on a tight budget(as usual) 🙁

    Update on this dryer fault.
Removed black drain plug and too much water came out along with gunge/fluff etc.Carried out repair as described by recall(above).Water bottle valve was gunged up so restricting flow of water into bottle and actuating float switch.Would have liked to remove float unit for proper clean but it looks like a time consuming task 🙁 .Does drum need to come out for this?

Thanks to all who contributed and argued on this one. 🙂

I`ve had that one as well. After I fitted new ring customer said it was working better than ever but on close inspection of original there was nothing wrong with it.Thankfully she paid the bill and I was off. 😆

FB Thanks again for your input but when you say fault may recurr it is obviously worrying. Is the proper fix( ie no recurrence)as Martin suggests removal and clean of float chamber.

I have no BG issues and you can tell me the TOC info.

Martin, What`s your diagnosis and remedy to this fault please?

FB thanks for your input but pressing down float switch arm and hope for the best isn`t an ideal solution. This job is 20 miles out of town and I need to be sure of no recall.

Empty water light on when bottle less than half full.Dryer then continues but no heat.Since original post customer informs me that fault is intermittent. 😥

    Thanks
