ParticipantRe: Hoover DXC58W3/180
Sorry to drag this out but still searching for the elusive long version 80mm (instead of 67mm) latch pin.
I can confirm that part no. 49007928, listed as door catch pack contains the original 67mm latch pin and not the longer version unfortunately 😥

Thanks for that kai, I can’t seem to find the longer pin 43018586 listed as a spare part with any supplier or on Hoover website.
Perhaps the door catch pack 49007928 includes the longer pin?

Thanks for replies.
Tim, that must be a right PITA having to sort that under warranty?
Only part no I can find is door catch pack 49007928 but think that is the same length latch pin?Bryan
ParticipantRe: qualtexs public web spares,site,
Just came across similar situation, Hotpoint heater element part no C00255452 out of stock with Connect, Masterpart (shock not) and Qualtex but their off-shoot ASW has part in stock apparently.
A few quid more expensive…..perhaps I’ve just answered my question of why they’re keeping stock for public sales ahead of trade sales?

ParticipantRe: Customers unusual requests
Can you tighten my toilet seat please?
Was years ago and I think I did it as old lady, out of the kindness of my heart. Doubt I’d do it these days.

ParticipantRe: Bosch door handle
Just for anyone’s future reference I found part no. 751782 to be perfect fit and exact same handle as the BSH listed part no. 649193, .

Thanks for that Steve, it did pass through my mind that it may use the same stat. Will order as not too expensive.
Much appreciated

ParticipantRe: Beko WM7335W
Only checked tacho for continuity, in hindsight could well be a broken magnet as you suggest.
Assume new motor required if magnet problem? doesn’t look like a screw on job as per the old Zanussi’s.Thanks for reply.

Ok, job was cancelled, customer is going to contact Siemens as he thinks it’s still covered by 5 year guarantee.
Would still be interested in any solution for future reference….. if the old memory clicks into gear.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWM320
It drains perfectly when she manually selects drain or spin.
She is using it with the rinse hold button pressed in and she’s very reluctant to try it with button out for some reason known only to her.If we’re sure button should be out to de-select rinse hold then that’s almost certainly the problem.
Customer insists “that button has always been in and never caused a problem on that cycle”, but heard that before, just wanted to be certain.
Thanks

Thanks Don, hopefully I can get a definite answer from someone on here. I too think button in selects rinse hold but smart a**e customer thinks opposite so I need to be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure.
