Re: Whirlpool AWOD 4505 ‘service’ ?

Any progress with this one Jim ❓
I have same model with identical fault.
Probably the PCB but just wondered if a slightly stretched belt can cause this problem even without a load.
Seem to remember fitting a new belt for a similar fault on some Servis machines as the slightly stretched belt is simulating OOB conditions.
Didn’t have a belt to try unfortunately 😥

Ok Andy, thanks for that I’ll order it from Masterpart tomorrow :D.

Don’t know why BSH quoted me that part and it does refer to Bosch for spares in the owner’s user manual 😕

Thanks Gerry, have done a bit more searching around and BSH spares came up with part no. 841018. Hope that helps anyone for future reference.

    Re: More pattern pump problems.

Yes Martin, I remember discussing this a couple of years ago when I had this problem with low cost Bosch pattern pumps.
I unscrew them from the housing, stick them in the bin where they belong and fit a Hanning pump with confidence it’ll do the job intended.

    remember this?

    Hi Martin

I’ve got the 481925928823 element in front of me and the terminals are spaced at 23mm from centre to centre.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen an element with 12mm gap between terminals, so duff info. on the Qualtex site perhaps ❓

    Cheers for looking anyway 😀

    Thanks Andy, I actually have HY14103 in stock 😯 😀 .

Good luck with your module Martin, something tells me it’s going to be expensive.

    Re: What would you do?

In these circumstances I sometimes ask if the elderly person has a relative I can phone to explain the situation and whether they want to check the operation of the appliance before I call again and again .

With regard to the original question of the possible blocked filter there’s no way I’d ask the customer to check the filter for the reasons already given by reaper.

Oh , and also because I need the money 🙂
