Base elements can be slightly tricky to locate but from your information it would appear that it is indeed a faulty base element.

If you can post the model no. as requested I`m sure Dave will help you with spare parts.

Remember power off if you`re going further.

    Re: Neb Vicenza mirror oven

Is it possible this is one of those ovens that uses top (outer element ) and bottom heating elements with the fan on its own. ie No circular element .
Froomer obviously can`t find it anyway.

    Hope this helps.

as a claim to fame,I was sitting in the Devonshire Arms pub in Camden watching Steve Earl write the song “Johny come lately” (an early single and appeared on the Copperhead Road Album) was being written. Not really a fan of him though but interesting guy all the same.

Mark , Did you know The Pogues played as backing musicians on that track. Great song and you saw it being written……fantastic.
You should try and listen to the two albums mentioned on my original post as I think you`d like them from what you`ve written.

My favourite album and surprisingly not mentioned so far , Never Mind The Bollocks by The Sex Pistols. My two sons aged 10 and 5 also like this album but I have to keep them away from “Bodies” good song though it is.

Anyway I`m going to check out Teenage Fanclub as they`re Scottish and have been recommended a few times to me previously.

Still not seen your local friendly Electrue area representative Chris?
I think you have some pretty good evidence to have your account adjusted or whatever it is they do to give better prices.

£21:55 plus vat from Connect in stock , probably cost more for Penguin and less for others. 🙄

    Re: Zanussi WJD1457W

On closer inspection of pcb , as Mark suggested , small rupture in one of the triacs.QER confirmed faulty pump can cause damage to pcb and I`ve sent it to them for repair and test.

Electronic damage seems to be happening more often with what would normally be straight forward repairs. Today I had a Hotpoint wmt01 with door interlock faulty and once again having replaced interock it would appear to have pcb problems 👿 Wasn`t so bad with the WM range when you could resolder the tracks on the pcb but when components are blowing it means a return trip and additional cost.

I find these problems most frustrating but I fear these faults (where the electonics are damaged as a result of pump/motor/interlock/heater etc going faulty) are now every day occurrences. It makes pricing a repair before you do it virtually impossible.Anyway that`s it off my chest. 🙂

Thanks Dave, it`s most appreciated. 😀

BTW Connect £26:60 plus vat (to me )
SEME £15:90 plus vat ( to everyone I think )

    SEME it is then.

It’s not that the touch panel doesn’t respond as such, it’s more that it either displays options from a different button or it cycles through some of the buttons options but misses some out.

Dave just volunteered to help you out with ordering parts from CH&S.

If the touchpad/key unit/membrane panel is not responding then it normally is at fault. From memory it was a problem on these microwaves.Pretty straight forward job, but you have to peel off the front panel carefully without damaging it as you need to stick it back on after you fit new keyunit.

Part No. 11933HS for keyunit….. special order. 😥

As for the too much power on low settings, I would doubt this to be possible.

    Cheers
