jimbo2207 wrote:Do it the hotpoint way mate. mark the tacho end of the plug, snip off the locating lugs and fit the same plug into the FHP motor making sure you have the tacho connections at the correct end. Works every time, and it’s very quick. The only other thing you need to do is to fit a spade connector to the earth lead.
I think it`s worth taking the extra 5 or 10 mins. to fit the correct plug and avoid any future confusion .

As Dave must be having his tea 😆 the part no. is 481241318207 or 481241318201. Either of the two will do the job I think.

ParticipantRe: Microwave paint
Normal enamel paint would be a definite NO.
Connect do a special paint , if you search for TU2.
Unless it is a small area , this repair is a nightmare as it will soon start peeling again. 🙁
Best just to rub down the loose paint and leave the metal work exposed.
As long as metalwork intact then all will be ok. 😉Hope this helps

Thanks lads,
Even though I don`t have an account , Andy organised the pattern part by credit card. £15:99 plus postage and vat , saved me a few quid. 😀

What do you think?
Just had a listen and best I can say is “not for me” but interestingly my five year old son thought it was great so your mate could yet have a big future 🙂
