Thanks Jazzmeister
With one plate on full the other is dropping back to very low or off.
Would you say this is right?
Seems weird that I’ve not had this situation reported before over the years then two in seperate areas in a week!!Thanks

ParticipantRe: Brandt & De Dietrich Indiction Hob Faults
Thanks Steve
The DeDietrich unit is half induction and half ceramic (ceramic is OK). She’s had the unit for 13 years and has only just had this problem – its worked normally since new. The Brandt unit is 6 years old and again it has operated as normal until just recently.
Both these jobs are via insurance company and so cannot just fire parts at themThanks again

ParticipantRe: connect ‘due date’
Yep, we’ve had the same.
We’ve had items on back order for weeks only for them to completely disappear sometimes!!
Its not a part of this thread, but we also have been getting a lot of re-issued, damaged or inoperative stock which then takes ages to return because of their stupid system.
All in all, we are finding that customer services have deteriorated over the last few months with promises of call backs never materialising.
We’re that brassed off with them that we have opened an account with Masterpart who seem, on the whole, to be much better. If we can order from Masterpart competitively, then we now do – just to save all of the frustration.

ParticipantRe: Morice Range Cookers (FRENCH)
Morice were imported and sold by Britannia (Blackpool 01253 471111) in 2002/2003. They were priced quite high but didn’t sell at the price so Britannia stopped importing them. At the finish, a quantity were sold into the market at a knock down price to get them off the premises.
If you can PM me with model and fault I may be able to help identify the spare providing its not cosmetic as I still have some tech info.
If cosmetic, you will have to contact the factory in France direct (near Lyon). Nice day out !!

ParticipantRe: Dealing With “Call Backs”
Contract work call backs have suddenly become an issue for us.
With Repaircare, there was until recently, always some leeeway with a call back if the new fault was not the same as the old fault.
For some of the jobs we do for them, we are meant to provide a 30 day full appliance warranty after repair. Recently went out to a Kenwood cooker because of a noisy cooling fan. Replaced the fan, all working OK.
A week later we got a call back because the grill element had failed. Tried to argue but Repaircare will not discuss anymore and will withhold original invoice until problem resolved. Rip off or what!!!

Cookerfitps Anyone else noticing the lack of flexibility from Repaircare that was previously there??

ParticipantRe: Gas instalation issue (for any CORGI Guys out there)
Just for clarity, Pat, a hob must be installed on rigid pipework. It is no longer permissable to instal via a flexi hose and bayonet.
If a new install in a flat, the burners must be FFD protected.
