    Re: zan, BLOWING PUMPS

Had a similar one about a year ago. Replaced pump three times in just over twelve months. On this one the lady of the (enormous) house used the dryer every time she washed, problem was she washed three full loads a day, every day. That said, the poor little Askol was working more hours a day than me 8O.
No wonder they were worn out!!!

You`ll wait long enough on whirlpool spares just now with the fire.

    Doh! 😳

I’d forgotten all about that. Explains why every Whirlpool part I order takes ages at the mo!!

First price quoted by GD £24+ the pair. 😕
Second price quoted by GD £59+ the pair 😯 . A very ‘I am right little man’ snoty cow on thephone 👿 . Obviously she was SO BLOODY WAY OUT WITH IT I COULD’VE CAUGHT THE BUS.
It’s taken two weeks to sort this out and finally we got someone on the phone who knew his arse from his elbow.

Arrived next day £8.80 inc. 😀

Why do these companys employ clowns to answer the spares line 🙄

    Re: Whilpool Dishwasher

Go down the kitchen fitters route.
An old half brick. followed by a broken tile to wedge it up, oh and dont forget the two bits of water logged chipboard that move back in the cabinet when you reinstall it.
Best one I ever went to was a Bosch top ‘o’ the range dishwasher in a marble worktop kitchen.
No front screws that normally hold to the worksurface; this one was at full stretch on the legs butting up to the marble. Loosened off the two front legs and the thing just full backward behind the unit 😕 . The rear leg had been removed and the dishwasher was just wedged in at the front.Trouble was the cabinet had hidden gaps at the sides so the dishwasher lodged itself behind these :eeek:
Took ages to get it out and reinstall it, customer was fuming as this was no cheap kitchen.

That customer who decides to lean on the machine when its resting on your foot/ leg any other anatomical part used for propping up the machine in a tight space.
Or the comedians who say ‘Don’t take it personally but I hope I don’t see you again!’

Friendly wave and a cheery ‘arse’ under your breath

    I know.

They are the wrong ones that we already have.
On these there are two largish eyes and the cord has snapped.

    Re: Retail

We’re in Preston and sales from the shop front have been abysmal this year. As you say GB, most sales are made in the customers home, so we have decided to shut the shop and just keep the newbies in a unit. It means me selling the house etc. and relocating (shop front comes with the house), but it means I can concentrate on repairs again and get some rest from berks knocking on your house door on a Sunday!!!!
Hopefully the ‘unit’ will be a central heated workshop (garage) fully kitted out, with a beer fridge for those difficult recons 😉 We live in hope!!

    :eeek: :eeek:

Just been quoted £59+ for a pair of these cables by Glen Dimplex.
    £22.41 each plus everything.
For two bits of string with plastic ends.

I think I’ll ring the customer!!!!!!
