ParticipantRe: famous customers?
Had a threesome with Sam Fox once.
That’s dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. Couldn’t get any of them out as the clowns who delivered them managed to force all three in the gap above quarry tiles and below the (low) granite worktop.
Looking down the sides of them they were all bowed out. Presume they are stil there now 😆

ParticipantRe: WMA58 pressure chamber
The sump fixing is round the chamber itself is awful….sorry oval 😆
Busted the tube fixing yesterday on a call and used one off a recon to finish the job. Wish I’d sorted the sump out instead but customer was desparate to get the machine going asap

ParticipantRe: You want to charge me HOW MUCH!
Sign of the times methinks.
Explained to a woman last week in great detail about charges etc, she then wanted to ‘run me through the repair’ on the phone :rolls:.
She then cancelledfive minutes later (as they do), luckikly I didn’t even bother to put it on the jobsheet as was pretty sure that what she’d do.
Calls me back on Monday to rebook.
Hotpoint WF320 with a P/switch fault showing. Hubby told me he’d had a play with it and it hasn’t happened since but could I take a look anyway.
Machine out and in the filter among other things was a lolly stick holding up the ball. Fault found, machine back in and tests fine.
Hubby gladly paid the £40 charge with the explanation of what caused it.
She rings me up after 4 harping on about how I can justify £40 when I hadn’t repaired it just emptied the filter 8O. I’d also apparently told her my call charge if I couldn’t repair it was £17, irrelevant in the circumstances but that amount was never mentioned.A teacher methinks.

Any ideas what causes it? Unbalanced loads maybe?

Or you can point the jet at the customer and shout ” Quick, find the stopcock, cock” 😀

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool tumble dryer fuse
Is this the fuse in the loom at the top.
Was advised years ago by an ex Whirlpool engineer, that there is (if I remember) a 6A fuse which regularily goes, was told to up the rating slightly.
Have only done this once when a similar fault happened and it has worked merrily for years. Meggered all the usual suspects at the time and all tested perfectly.TC
