Been out to this one twice now and sat, and sat, but it works like a dream while I’m there. Tested all the likely and they all seem ok.
Customer rang this morning to say that it goes off more regular now but when she moves the box (condenser) it starts up. On the Lux disc it shows two microswitches around the condenser area, any ideas which one would stop it functioning if the cond. wasn’t in fully.

Just been right royally shocked by B.T.
With moving house soon, I checked up the other dayif we could port the number. Different exchange can’t do that. Tried Telewest same reply (even though they could do that five years ago 😕 )
Back to B.T. to see if they could help.
CNI (not the news channel) where the call is intercepted by a dalek giving you the new number. Don’t see that working as next one in yellow pages is quicker than the pen.
Next offer is remote call forwarding. Basically you phone is on divert with no line, straight from the exchange. Cost….set up of £58 and £130 a quarter, plus every diverted call costs you 😯 😯 .
Hopefully I can persuade the kind gent moving into our house to keep this land line on divert and to ‘divert’ the bills back to me until my ads catch up.
One big problem when working from home and changing areas this. You’d have thought over the years B.T. would have given this scenario some thought so as to help out and have a moving package to suit. Or maybe they have!!!Tony C

Since 1998 I’ve used the house phone diverted to my mobile the same way as Bob, saves employing someone to answer the phone. The only problem is when someone has to tell you their life story and you are paying for the divert 😥
It’s also a good way of vetting the free estimate brigade.
I’ll take most calls in customers houses as most of them understand the way I work, plus the fact that I’ve lost work in the past when customers ring the next listing in Yellow Pages if they have to wait for you to ring back.Tony C

Indeed mine did until that nice Mr Martin114 turned up and gave me the info I need. When i checked Connections and the correct model number came up I was dubious it would be the right one (using Indesit lateral thinking there), but lo and behold on getting the seal it matched.
Thank you Mr Martin you are indeed a very nice man and you succeeded in getting a real arsehole off my case. 😀 😀 😀

Local council officials run in a strange parallel universe to us anway, so don’t try to understand them. I had it explained to me yesterday that because I was ten days late with a rates payment I was two months in arrears. The next payment being due on the first of November 😕

No, the bearing supplied with the AR05105, the front bearing(large one) is the 6206 which with the seal won’t fit the spider (too large). A Hotpoint 95/ wm bearing kit fits. I just need the seal now. I think I’m on a losing one here if the complete spider won’t fit. Ah merlopeless eh (I’m not even giving them a capital letter either)! Don’t you just love ’em 👿

Are these the ones in the 074213 spider?
Masterpart are listing AR05105 bearing kit for this spider.
The front bearing and seal I require are a smaller diameter than supplied.
Is there another smaller diameter front bearing for this model or is it just the wrong bearing kit for this machine?Confused with a customer kicking off.

ParticipantRe: PUBLIC LIABILITY INS QUOTES
Insurance quoteline based in Blackburn have got most of my business for van and pub liab. Theyr’e on 0870 607 8683 or http://www.insurancequoteline.net. I’ve been pretty impressed with them, and they do some good package deals, ie my van and the car (got the no claims on the van to keep the cost down, and then a cracking deal on the car with nil no claims) and complete retail and liability in one!!!!! 8)
