    Re: Indesits Partfinder

When partfinder is activated it writes to the registry (DO NOT GO INTO THE REG EDITOR UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING) in location [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREJVF Systems LtdPartfinder II] and the date is in the lic file in hex.

If you put the date back you can stop other programs from working

Went back today to fit a part to the tumble dryer and had another look at it.
I took the sides off then switched it on and it worked ok so I left it.

Re: Software for tracking customers / jobs.

I was asked to write a program for Crwys Electrics Ltd the requirements were
    1. Upto six engineers
    2. Eight calls a day
3 Search data base with house number, name (part name), street (part name), phone number, or post code
4 will print off work at the end of the day

It has been working for 12 months now and has 13,000 entries in it
I am now doing an upgrade to it as he now wants to put job returns in it

I use mysql data base as it is free search time is less than one second

I wrote it in visual basic.net

If any one is in Cardiff and knows Paul ask him if you can see it as it saves him more than one hour a day.

    Hi tubs
what you are doing is putting vcc to the test pin
from the top the pins are rx,tx,gnd, vcc and test.
rx and tx is used to connect to pc
the switch on the test plug puts vcc to test
I have made 6 boxes for local engineers but what you are doing will work ok
