    Re: Siemens Oven isn’t heating

Is this the same part as the ELE2044 that Shop@ recommended? I’m not saying you are wrong – just checking that the different reference numbers do match!

    Thanks.

Re: Dyson DC07 – loss of suction through hose

Thanks Guys, we do have an extended warranty on this (& other callouts have solved previous problems) – but I didn’t want to call someone out if there was an easy solution.

I’ll see what can be done to clean it the cones out.

    Re: Panasonic Microwave Fault

Cheers guys I’m aware of the issues with capacitors. So won’t be touching it myself.

Thanks for the info on costs.

    Re: Panasonic Microwave Fault

Thanks – yes – it does have ‘Inverter’ on the casing. ( What is the Inverter & the magnetron?)

To give me an idea – how uneconomic are we talking? What could the cost of repair & parts etc come to? Rough order of magnitude only of course.

It seems a shame to bin a microwave that to all intents & purposes only has one fault….or am I oversimplifying the situation?

    Thanks again….

Re: Siemens SE64630GB/29 – Door has slipped

I know its a while since this was posted – but in case anyone else has the same problem, we have now solved it.

It turns out that one of the supporting levelling feet had moved out of alignment. A few quick turns of the levelling screw raised the front corner of the dishwasher & hey presto – the cabinet was squared up & the door now closes properly.

Simple really – but there again things always are once you know the answer.

    Thanks for your help anyway!

Does anyone have any other ideas what might be causing this – My hinge suggestion might be completely wrong……….if it is right – how can I fix it?

    OK,

I have checked the decor door & it has not slipped or moved.

So it has to be a hinge problem I think…any other suggestions?

Re: Siemens SE64630GB/29 – Door has slipped

Thanks. I will check it out later when I get home from work.

One thing though, having looked already at the decor door, I’m pretty sure that it is still firmly attached to the door of the dishwasher and that it had a uniform distance to the edge all around it. This would suggest to me that it hasn’t slipped.

I was thinking more along the lines of a hinge problem…?

I’ll come back to you once I’ve checked it out.

As a matter of interest to the dicussion to this topic…does that also apply to the seemingly mundane task of replacing Internal micrware light bulbs?

We’ve managed to do this without killing ourselves ( so far ) – well, my wife did it in a fit of enthusiasm!

    Any thoughts,..?

Is there enough space between the drum and the seal to be able to get the offending object to move ? What would you recommend using to not damage anything?
