Re: Siemens HB904 – glass door cleaning

Just to say the idea about using a scraper was a great one.

No expense needed and the glass looks (almost) like new !

    Thanks again!

Re: ISE 10 1406W will not drain

Problem solved – thank you very much. A 5p piece and a piece of plastic had got past the filter and were acting as seal at the end of the outlet hose at the connection with the under sink waste pipe. Great advice from here as always !!

Yes – the pump runs freely and without obstruction. The pump outlet hose is connected to an undersink wastepipe – that connection is the next thing to check.

Can I just check that by the ‘pump filter’ you mean the ‘drain plug screw in’ at the front of the machine ?

Thanks for that. Have had my head right inside the drum looking with a torch, not a pretty sight from the back!, there are definately no screws though just a lot of scratches from the screwdriver.

    I also have a TDC62

I have tried several times to get at this thermostat’s fixings but without success.

Can anyone suggest a way to access it for testing?

Re: ISE 10 door does not unlock automatically

OK – so the drain sump is clear, I’ve drained the machine using the front tube, run another drain cycle as well and the door still wont open automatically.

Is this the time to call someone in to look at it?

We’ve been getting F3 codes too. The drain sump at the front has had the occasional foreign object in it – I’ll check it again.

    Thanks

    Update –

Maintainance wash run at 95 degrees…only the slightest hint of suds, but I drained it down beforehand & discovered a lost gold ring in the inspection chamber at the front …could that have been the cause of the problem?

    Re: ISE10 F3 Fault

Cant say we’ve reduced detergent usage – but I will check with my wife how much. We tend to use the M&S detergent tabs. Either half a tab or a full tab depending on the load.

Having seen previous posts where detergent usage is a factor is it fair to say that reducing ‘quick wash’ usage & maintainance washes might also be a factor?
