    Re: Tool purchases.

    I nearly forgot……

    This is a goer 😀

I’ll have to look in to the finer details but these guys want to work with us, and a discounted rate will apply.

They are also quite prepared to hand out as many catalogues as required, so, if you want one, please let me know.

    Yes, almost certainly

A VXO universal one should do quite nicely:

Well, I did the packing bit which took about 30 seconds (I’ve assumed the kwatt approach; chuck the fuckers in a bag and who cares if it’s creased :rotl:) then got bored 😉

There is no “element” as such as this is a compressor type fridge/freezer and relies on refrigerent gas and compession/expansion to work.

On any setting higher than 1 I assume it runs continuously but never actually gets cold ?

Re: ASEA dishwashers and/or spare parts

Asea is basically an Asko so there shouldn’t be too much trouble getting spares, even for some of the the older models, which brings me to… what model is it number please ?

If you look at the ServicePower website, the Beaver group is one of the UK contacts listed 😉

Re: Servis BFC371B Oven not heating up

Not a problem Stephen, I worked out which one this was after Jason emailed me a picture of it.

It’s actually a Brandt made cooker, so if you go to the shop and order this one:

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Cooker+{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} … ement.html

The shipping is on top of the £16.99 for the element, ROI is not a problem for the shipping either 😀

    Re: Diplomat APL 8215

Not really a DIY job to be honest going any further.

Given that we can’t really go much further than the advice we have already given without overstepping the EU regulations on technical advice etc.

Best bet is ask an engineer to sort the problem, have a look in the directories and repairs@ there should be someone there that can help.

    Re: error codes

This could be an F7 fault wich may well be resolved by the reset procedure.

Use the search funcion for “F7” and/or “reset” and you’ll find it’s been listed a few times.

Re: Smeg DWF64SSE – Again :-(our dishwasher broke about 9 mo

Bit of an odd one if all four lights come on.

Time to ask that engineer to come back I think and check for the new fault 😉

Re: Problem with Whirlpool AWM 820

The 45 and 50 washes are fine by the sound of it.

This machine takes in cold water only on the lower temperature washes but hot and cold on the higher, how hot is the water going in to the machine from your system ?

Re: Hotpoint Frost Free Combination Fridge/Freezer Model 859

As this is a twin compressor unit the fridge and freezer are essentially two seperate appliances which is why the fridge is still operating.

The warmth in the freezer may be the defrost or drip tray heater staying on permanently caused by the defrost timer not running. This warmth is also causing the higher than normal emperatre in the fridge i would imagine.

Turn the freezer off by it’s thermostat and ask an engineer to have a look at it as it may well be a fairly straightforward repair.

Take a look at the direcories and repairs@ there should be someone there that can help.
