The subscribers money is for the subscribers to decide what to do with as far as I am concerned, I believe Ken’s suggestion af a flight ticket etc was a prompter for this debate to take place rather than a “this is what’s gonna happen” type thing which would inevitably lead to the thread going off topic from the original title.

No, you’re right, this model is actually a freestanding microwave that you can purchase an optional building in kit for.
Does the customer not have the installation instructions handy ? If not, a quick call to BSH tech department should help.

A tug and a wiggle normally works.
The plastic trims are clipped on to the main microwave cabinet generally.

There’s three or four pcb’s in there, none of them cheap either, I can’t see any obvious cut-outs.
I would suggest you ask an engineer to attend to make a correct diagnosis.
Let us have your postcode, there’s plenty of engineers here who should be able to help.

The four pcb’s are described as:
C00099892 – Control PCB – 25.90
C00097965 – Display PCB – 50.00
C00097964 – Power PCB – 50.00
C00097414 – Reset/Start PCB £2.50
Going by that, it will either be the Control or Power PCB’s I would think, more likely the control as power is being applied to the appliance and control/display PCB’s
I can order a manual for it if it’s any help Chris.

This sounds a bit odd to me, I doubt even Merloni would have overlooked this.
Is the basket going right back against the water inlet ? These are notorious for falling apart or not seated correctly.
