The PCB is only about £35, so the repair shouldn’t be too bad.

Capital Repairs on 020 8866 6699 should be able to advise of their labour costs etc.

If you do phone them could you let them know where you got the number please.

I would suggest that you do have a blockage somewhere, or possibly an intermittent pump fault, it could also be the electronic control playing up.

I would suggest you call an engineer to check for you, apart from the motor itself, the parts are fairly reasonable for these models so it shouldn’t be a horrific repair.

Pop your postcode up and one of the UKW guys should be able to assist.

I can’t find 600160 listed anywhere, only the 600100 which I doubt is the same cooker.

Hopefully Woz may be able to help as he used to work for Caremark, I’ll ask him to look in to it 🙂

You may have a wait of a few days on this one I’m afraid, it’s very unlikely anyone will have these in stock 🙁

Re: Smeg KSET Telescopic Cooker Hood

This is a nice piece of equipment by the looks of it 🙂

Looking at the diagram and only the lights come on, it will most likely be the PCB or sometimes there’s a fuse on them.

As it has twin motors it’s unlikely both of them will have failed.

I think you may be best to call an engineer to have a look to be honest, if you pop your postcode up, one of the UKW guys may be able to assist.

    Re:

If you don’t mind a bit of adaptation, the Ariston one will fit which you can get from the shop here:

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/2040-coo … an-element

Or I can get the original Brandt one in a few days for you at £30.43 inc VAT and post etc.

The 3 turn one on sparesrus won’t fit physically, it’s for different Homark models and the wattage is 500w more.

Re: Glass Shattered!!! Diplomat Select 620 Single Electric O

I would check the user manaul, on some models you can grill with the door closed, in which case as it’s only 10 months old it will be replaced free of charge by MFI for you.

If that’s not the case you may well have to buy the glass, without the model number I can only guess as they vary hugely, anywhere between £25 and £50 (ish)

Re: Glass Shattered!!! Diplomat Select 620 Single Electric O

Were you grilling with the door open or closed ?

Most ovens are only designed for one or the other (refer to user manual). If this model is not designed for grilling with the door closed and you were that will more than likely be the reason.

Sometimes this just “happens” though, for no apparent reason.

If you can find the full model number around the door, AHY??? APL??? I can price the replacement glass for you.

I have deleted your duplicate post by the way.

Re: Bosch Maxx WFL2066 – No motor movement

If you’re sure the motor is OK and there are no broken leads anywhere, it can only be the electronic control unit behind the facia panel.

Possibly a dry joint on one of the relays as this is not unknown on these models.

    Re: Neptune gas tumble dryer

No, that isn’t right as far as I can see.

I’m not fully conversant with the commercial side of the gas regulations but the domestic situation would be along these lines:

“Immediately Dangerous” (Is in a dangerous condition that may cause death or injury to persons or damage to property). The owner/person responsible must be informed and the appliance labelled as such. Permission should be sought to disconnect the appliance and make safe (gas operatives do not have the power to do this without the owner’s/responsible person’s consent, only Transco can enforce this) If the responsible person or owner refuses, the gas operative must notify Transco as they have “right of entry” to ensure gas safety.

“At risk”(Not immediately dangerous but may pose a risk to persons or property) The responsible person or owner must be informed, the appliance labelled accordingly and permission sought to disconnect the appliance and make safe the installation, same as above, if the permission is refused, Transco must be notified.

“Sub Standard”(Is not up to current legislation) The responsible person or owner must be notified and the appliance labelled accordingly. Arrangements should be made wherever possible to make good any defects and bring the appliance in line with current legislation.

All of the above are down to definition really, personally I always go for the worst case scenario if in any doubt. In this instance, I would say the appliance was “At risk” as restricted airflow may cause “incomplete combustion” which can/may lead to carbon monoxide being present.

I would phone Corgi to be honest and ask for their advise, after gaining the company’s registration number to verify they are registered.

I hope all that is correct, it’s a bit late but I would never get time to do that during the day 😉

I’ll read it again tommorow to make sure.

It would appear not, in fact it’s a lot older than I thought, I just found this review of it:

    Category: Microwave
    Company: Panasonic Model: Ne 9870
    Title: Microwave/Convection Oven
    Year: 1985
