Nor do I frankly, although sending one email a month listing jobs due for payment does not cause me too much hassle it’s one more thing I have to think about doing. Even then it’s hardly a statement anyway, but it seems to work. But as you say, I shouldn’t have to do it in the first place.

wcda wrote:It would be interesting to know if if that requirement is written in the Contract.

It isn’t, I checked. An invoice is the only requirement for payment !

Ok Thanks. Is it a Brandt made cooker do you know ? There are similar part numbers that supersede to the usual ??X???? format but not that one.

Any idea of the phone number ? I may well just send the customer direct to be honest, it’s not worth the hassle sometimes, even though I loathe sending customers away.

And in today’s biggest selling tabloid newspaper:

Field Service Engineers Required ! By Merloni !

Not franchise, employed engineers vacancies being advertised, no regionality apart from London allowances.

    Have they done a U turn ?

That’s exactly how they should be fitted, although the screws down each side of the inner door should also be tight as these tighten down to grip the fixings on the wooden door.

I would suggest you slightly loosen those screws, refit the wooden panel with the door down flat so it won’t slide then tighten all the screws again.

That normally does the trick 😉

Aha, if it’s part of a bigger contract I understand the involvement.

Let us now how you get on either way if you could.

Thanks for the reminder Don 😉

I haven’t recieved the pack mentioned by Alex, I’d better phone Home Hotline.

    Re: Indesit WD10 problems

The pressure switches have been known as a common failure across the whole range of Evolutions as far as I’m aware. I would be worth replacing it to check.

I had a look at the info and thee appears to be three different pressure switches listed for this model, whether they are interchangeable it doesn’t say. It looks like the make of pressure switch is required to identify.

May I also ask, if it’s only a few months old surely it’s i/g and should be repaired free of charge by Merloni ?

    Re: diplomat 8245 error lights

OK, as Matt has supplied a model number they both should have the same solution.

That code means the control pcb is looking for a flow meter in the appliance which does not actually exist, it’s a glitch in the software I would imagine.

The pcb will need resetting by an appointed MFI service agent or someone with the relevent technical data which I cannot reproduce for obvious reasons.

If you either check the directories link on the main menu on the left for an engineer in your postcode area or post your postcode here I’m sure someone will be happy to assist.

I got my certificate and a couple of van/window stickers today for CES 😀

No formal presentation as Martin did, but very nice all the same.

Hopefully they’ll update the website soon and add us to the list of “Customer First Scheme” accepted companies there as well.

Re: Zanussi DWS 949 top basket not washing

    Hi, that’s the info I need 😀

Parts are reasonable enough for this model, details are:

    Upper spray arm £9.82
    Upper spray arm support £6.47
    Postage £3.50

    All inc VAT.

That should sort the problem out as long as the water pressure is OK.

Phone number is 01392 467889, ask for me.

    Regards.

    Dave.
