    Re: SMEG ?

Yeah I’d go along with that.

We started to do work on behalf of Servevast earlier this year and so far no problems at all.

Contact levels are good, tech info easy to obtain, rates OK, product easy enough to work on, mainly range and built in cooking and dishwashers.

Just remember that an invoice is not enough to get paid though, you’ll need to send a monthly statement, an email to their accounts dept listing the job numbers is enough in general.

Indeed, bad deals, poor back up and general underhandedness (is that actually a real word 😕 ) now doesn’t go unnoticed 😀

Happier maybe, I’m not sure about the stress sometimes though eh Dave ? 😉 😆

Dunno, there’s no such model 😆

Yep, they still use the Thomson name in Europe I believe.

If I recall, Miele also used a “dual” motor on some older models. They may still do, don’t see too many of them for some reason 😉

Yeah I can, or as mentioned a local Service Force agent could also supply for you.

If you let me know the product number code from the rating plate, I’ll get more info for you.

Has it been disconnected from the gas supply by a Corgi registered engineer ?

Sadly buying a new oven is the only option it would seem, as we found out for the other guy, the parts appear to obsolete now for these models.

Washvac actually show the part as in stock even though it says it’s a special order 😕

That’s the “L” shaped one inside the cavity. There’s also a tubular heater underneath on the later version which is 4812 259 28684.

It’s always worth getting the 12nc from all Whirlpool appliances as there are invariably several versions of the same model. It’s the one above the bar code somewhere.

    Re: HP DISHWASHER DF53

It’s actually a Brandt made dishwasher. Exactly the same as the MFI AHY8101/8102.

As Martin said, check the heater for earth leakage, wiring is unlikely as the timer is “down under” so no “hot” leads in the door hinge area.

Yes, that is out of order after the many years of working together.

    Re: Creda 17076 thermistor wiring

Seamy, they’ve sent the wrong part. This version does not have a thermistor, the info on the parts disk is incorrect as Martin and I found out, that is the info GDA have also I would assume.

It may be a faulty thermostat, very rare but possible. It’s just a normal mechanical device so easily checked after removal, it could also be the timer not advancing, does it continue and complete the programme if it’s clicked past the heat stage ?

    Are they in trouble??

Dunno tbh, since they put their rates up I haven’t had a single call 😯

Which could mean either they aren’t getting any work through or they are passing it all to a.n.other.
