Re: Yet another Homark oven door glass panel smashed!

    Hi.

The outer door glass is actually showing no stock at the manufacturers so I can’t give any time scale to replace for you.

The glass would be circa Β£40.00 and the seal Β£30.00 plus about Β£15 carriage.

Both can be ordered and sent to you if required, but as mentioned, no idea of time scale on the glass.

    Hope that helps a bit.

Re: Maxol Majestic Duo – Electronic timer

I can’t find any reference to it, so it may well be obsolete.

As Penguin mentioned, in the links is a company called QER who repair these sorts of things, send the timer to them they should be able to effect a repair for you, assuming it’s an electronic timer and not a mechanical one of course.

And, yes, pull the plug !

    Re: Yellow Pages Ad

No, it’s not a daft question at all. For the massive fees involved you want to make sure of your investment.

You will almost certainly get a few phone calls a week from the ads, the only way to tell though is to ask the punters who phone you where they got your number, then from that make a decision on next years ad.

We have, for the 1st time not bothered with the yellow pages this year and just opted for the Yell link instead, that way we only pay for the link and then use our own website for the customer information.

BTW, you haven’t got free estimate/no call out charge all over the ad have you ?

    Re: Old Tricity Ceramic Hob

    I do have one πŸ˜€

Well at least I hope it’s the right one. Even if the cam’s wrong the contact block can be removed from the switch and replaced. No seal though, but the one that fits under the knob on these older halogen switches is part number 572543727000 and still available.

If you let me know the province of Yorkshiree you reside in I’ll get it on it’s way.

I guess this solves the other problem of hob replacement in retail corner as well.

    Re: Old Tricity Ceramic Hob

You know I think I have at least one of those, IIRC they’re the same or very similar to the later Sovereign halogen switch without the diodes.

I’ll check on the ‘morrow for thee.

    I haven’t mentioned it yet πŸ˜‰

    I will now though.

It’s a very nice looking site and as long as you get a few hits and people can see what you do that’s all that is required. The Yell thing helps as well, and it’s only about Β£150 pa so no huge outlay there. Let Yell do the work and link to your own site, they become expensive only when you let them build you a single page and then tell you they will guarantee high rankings. Balls to that.

BTW, my ecommerce site which I haven’t done an awful lot with has already been indexed by Google, and it’s not even live yet.

    Re: Hotpoint WMTL79 top loader

Looking at the blow up diagram there’s little else it can be apart from the timer.

I believe QER the pcb repair guys will do a check on modules for a nominal fee, they’re in the web-links section.

They may be able to repair it if faulty at a far better price as well πŸ˜‰

Re: Maxol Majestic Duo – Electronic timer

Possibly, although I believe these are now rather old.

If you could find the model number, serial number, gas council (gc) numbers it would be a help as I doubt that there was only one version made.

    Regards

    Dave
