Hi
If you can post the model number, I’ll see what I can do for you.
It’s normally something like 02-00?????

It is yes, you have to buy 200 at a time to get the best rate from GDA(which they must be) but they are overcharging by quite a bit.
Tell them you will only pay £3.99 max or go elsewhere.
It annoys me a little that this sort of thing happens, especially on high turnover spares like this, a 50p increase when you sell 1000’s is a lot of extra dosh, and I know what they are paying for them, and it is not a lot higher than last year. Put it this way, they are making a higher {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} than you probably are on them.

I would have to say that I would give them the benefit of the doubt and it is probably a genuine mistake, unless someone knows otherwise.
I do hope they are not trying to cash in on the armature/obsolete thing, as far as I know the brushes are still and will be for some time, available.
But they are still overpriced at £3.99, I sell them for less than that to local traders in 10’s and I sure ain’t a national spares wholesaler.

ParticipantRe: Motivation
What about the reason you probably got in to this trade in the first place………..making something that didn’t work – work.
And you get to meet lots of new people, some nice 😀 some downright hideous 😥
Also don’t forget if you have no new tales, technical questions, spares problems etc you won’t be able to post anything new on UKW, motivation enough on it’s own there eh ? 😉

ParticipantRe: De Dietrich VZ9996 Dishwasher
Sorry I can’t help with the actual fault but the spares aren’t a problem. It’s made by Brandt who own the De Dietrich brand name.
I can get the spares for you if required, I had a quick look and the main PCB at the bottom below the door (copied idea from Whirlpool as the most sensible place to put a PCB ;)) is £47.92 exc VAT and post.

Ok, here’s the way I see it from here.
First off, I will buy the shop for UKW as this is not free like the usual PHP software is, this will be paid for by any profit I have already made from selling spares to UKW visitors. As some may or may not know, the help desk has various visitor options from a drop down list, the clever thing is that depending on which option is chosen, the messsage is sent to the relevent person, so, I get the message regarding spares and have sold a few from there, so that money will now go ack to UKW.
When the shop is installed, as Ken says, the only lines to be sold presently will be high turnover, high margin spares, this will allow UKW and my own company to benefit from it, I will have to have some margin myself as it will be my staff packing/posting and reordering etc and I can’t afford to get them doing this for nothing.
Percentage wise, I will have to sit down and work this out as this is a new venture and the margins will be a lot different than I am used to, but, I would think the easiest way is to split the profit down the middle for now and see how it goes. This can be changed at any time though, as the topic suggests, this is an experiment at the moment.

I didn’t save one 😥
I can’t access the Retra website anymore either as I am no longer a member. Someone else on the site must be though I would think.
Sorry.

ParticipantRe: Eco labels
The manufacturers are legally obliged to supply them to retailers, the only downfall we find is the graded products which manufacturers are not obliged to supply labels for 😕
We tend to use whichever we can get our hands on (blank one’s) and tailor them to suit as they aren’t manufacturer or appliance type specific.
I’m pretty sure Retra have a download available of a blank version, I may have it saved at work. I’ll check in the morning 😉

ParticipantRe: Turks!
It’s way beyond my technical knowhow how these wasters do what they do, and it’s way beyond my comprehension why the fuck they see the need to do it in the first place TBH.
But there we are, as you say, if it’s on the net, it’s open to attack, lesson learned I guess and now the security is of a much higher level it hopefully won’t ever happen again.

We have the very stuff here, developed by another manufacturer for exactly the same purpose.
Send me an email or “PM” me and I can arrange to send you a tube.
