I think Bonzaco may have to inflate another type of lady now, it would be a shame to waste the four poster. 😉

Participanteastlmark wrote:Have you actually got the new disc then Dave?
Yep, came last week, All GDA and Merloni products on one disk, quite handy, but it’s £80 odd, plus £20 for each terminal if you want it networked 🙁 Plus it has to be verified either on line or via a phone call, i.e. no “copies” available. 😥
Probably not worth the investment if you don’t sell spares, let the wholesaler do the work instead 😉

ParticipantAlex wrote:I must assume that GDA were better?
Yes GDA were better, “were” being the important word here. The only upside is that all Merloni and GDA parts are now on one disk, so all parts are ordered together and on one account.

ParticipantWhile we are on the subject of GDA/Merloni Elletrodomestici, has anyone noticed how much longer it is taking to recieve spares lately, when ordered direct ? 🙁

ParticipantLG Spares !! There’s a subject close to my heart at the moment.
Thus far it has taken their credit control department a total of four months after receiving my spares account application to do absolutely NAFF ALL with it.
And then I get phone calls from LG customers asking what the delay is in getting a part for their 3 month old washing machine.
I just give them LGE customer service dept number now with the reason why, perhaps they will have more luck then me.

ParticipantAs Juan said, can you honestly see any manufacturer or insurer taking NESN seriously at the moment.
If they were a PLC (public as opposed to private) I would love to see their share value, which is very worrying as I have 4k worth 😯
On that, any news on your certificates JP ?

ParticipantFlipper wrote:I thought this was a piss take.
It would appear not, TBH I thought the same when the rumour mill was churning midweek.
Flipper wrote:Will DP turn up if he knows she’s going ?
I hope so, in fact i think he will want to even more 😉

That’s why you golfers use the term “handicap”, I often wondered 😉

ParticipantIndeed the service especially to I/G repairs is seen as paramount to customers. At the end of the day they don’t actually expect it to go wrong within 12 months in the first place (understandably from a customer perspective), but if it does, a first class speedy service will quite often mean the difference between:
1/ the customer ever buying that brand again.
2/ a contractor installing that brand again in a new development.
3/ the retailer actually stocking the brand again.
The list could go on.
Just a couple more points to consider.

Participantyoungtog wrote:So you are bringing her indoors out for the do,and for the DASA AGM
No only the evening on Friday, she will probably want to go shopping while I am at the AGM on Saturday 😥
We are staying Saturday night as well, as I think a few are, could be another good night 😉

ParticipantKenny take a look here http://www.acrib.org.uk/ may be useful.

ParticipantYep Li has done us all an excellent service by hosting this site, and after a certain person(s) unknown shut down the Yahoo forum, Li stepped right in and offered his services for the mailing list, which was set up in a matter of hours IIRC, and to think he wants nothing in return says a lot for the guy. A gesture of goodwill is the very least we can do.
Any ideas on how to present the idea to the rest of the site members and the mailing list members (many of which use both).

Participantkwatt wrote:Now can we have the real sentiments about Maria Wheelan attending please? 😉
Well, she is probably aware of who will be attending and hoping to raise NESN’s profile again, or has JT asked her to sit quitely and listen 🙄
Whichever, as long as her presence does not become the main agenda and she is aware that it is a social thing on the Friday night, then it could well be interesting to say the least.
TBH if she says the wrong thing at the AGM on Saturday or even on the Friday evening, she could well be in for a full blown firestorm, but then that’s her choice (or is it ?).
She may well be wired, I nominate Ted to frisk her down, as I’ll have the missus with me 😉
It may be interesting to see how her relationship with DP goes as well, after my conversation with him on Wednesday 😉
And Phil, if you insist on her accompanying you, please keep heavy petting to an absolute minimum. 😯 At least while we are eating anyway.

ParticipantNow I have spoken to Ken on the phone about this (I missed this post altogether 😳 ), Alex would be a good addition to TWR.
I just noticed Ted without the hat and shades 😯 put them back on FFS I forgot how ugly you were, and less of the Brrrrr, I thought you Northerners were used to Arctic temperatures 😀
