    Hi

    Welcome to the forums 🙂

Sadly the JL3DFS1801 is made by Daewoo, more infromation on them here A Google search for Daewoo JL3DFS1801 and the search word spares confirmed my suspicions by the results here

Not one of the best on the block 😉 but not the worst either :rolls:

    Hi

Here in the UK Philips don’t have a real presence in floorcare products so on that basis I would go for the Bosch.

It looks like Miele have a presence in the far East which are worth a look. Sebo are the best you can get but I don’t know if you can get them in Hong Kong 😉

Re: Fridge/freezer recommendations and where to buy?

    Hi

The fridge freezers like the Beko ones with the “spout” is just a prefilled water bottle on the inside of the door. The only true water and machines are on the American ones.

Most and cities across the UK have some sort of independent retailer normally in the suburbs. This Retra link http://www.retra.co.uk/?page_id=8 will let you check your nearest.

Re: Fridge/freezer recommendations and where to buy?

    Hi

A good read here on American refrigeration here and then this one on fridge freezers.

From your’e measurements I don’t think you are going to get an American fridge freezer that size. If you can create the space then I would recommend one of the original “American” ones like Maytag, Amana etc and leave the Korean ones alone like LG and Daewoo unless budget says otherwise.

If you have to go down the standard fridge freezer route then I would look at a 70cm width machine which will give you more internal space. There isn’t a lot out there but may be worth researching. Also remember to check the depths as well as a lot of them are deeper than your’e 61cm.

When it comes to shopping preferences I will always go to a specialist electrical retailer first as they are unbiased and are customer focused, secondly John Lewis and then the internet.

If you are looking at purely price then you will need to research yourself thoroughly before buying from the net. When it comes to the net Appliances online and OGormans are probably about the best ones.

    Hi

This thread from a while ago, not a lot of info in it. Google search doesn’t bring up a lot either.

You could ask for the labour charge upfront 💡

    Hi Andy

It’s a Currys branded Essentials machine :rolls:

I know where you can get one but not reasonably priced 😆 Connect are about £120 ex VAT and Currys Partsmaster is a whopping £174 here :rotfl:

I think your’e customer needs to purchase a new machine but not from Currys 😆

    Hi

The website is still there http://www.asdservices.co.uk/

Your’e part number is for an evaporator door but if the Connect price is anything to go by it’s not cheap.

If you cannot source through ASD Dave in the UKW shop should be able to obtain it for you on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

The last post on the thread was 18 months ago so either the OP repaired or had it repaired or has by now replaced it by now.

The Crosslee link is fine if the public wish to download direct from their site for their own use, it’s the sharing part in a public domain I was trying to protect.

    Fair shout though 🙂

What is the point of this post in an old thread?

I have removed part of the link so it does not open. White Knight will have a copyright on this sort of information and by posting it in the public domain we could be in breach of copyright if we leave it be.
