ModeratorIn that case steverob1066 it looks like Marigolds as washing up liquid then!!
I don’t disagree with with some of the previous comments. Yes, some dishwashers do break down like all appliances do, yes some are more reliable than others, do you always get what you pay for? Probably not everytime.
Speaking from 50 odd years in the industry I think I have seen most things and from my own perspective I still stand by my comments.
What dishwasher do I have? I have a 9 year old series 8 ( top of the range) and it has been the best dishwasher by far. What did we have before? Whirlpool and Diplomat.
Yes it is a lottery like most things in life which is why we can only advise on our many years of experience, bundle it all together and go for it.
Merry Christmas

ModeratorYou can download all this information on the manufacturers web sites, people like Miele and Bosch do still make them albeit at the top end of their ranges, The likes of Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool, Beko, Zanussi and all the other sub brands do not!!

ModeratorI still stand by my original post, the AEG is far better all round.

ModeratorThe AEG everytime, the service availabilty is far better, spares are easier to obtain if needed and the qualty of product is better IMO.
I don’t know anything about Costco as a company or service, all I would say is shop around on price and service before you buy.

ModeratorYou have “budget” in the title and then you have “Or do you get what you pay for” lol
You have hit the nail on the head in so many ways there. Personally I would say budget Beko at around £300 is a good buy, Lower end Bosch next and then the AEG’s and then you go higher in price.
As for easy repair, depends on your own skills, sometimes standing back and looking at the problem from a different way is a good way forward.

ModeratorIt appears from the instructions 14.1 that the oven records the type and duration of cooking before the eco prompt comes up. So by that measure a clean does need to be done in order to keep the interior clean and hopefully extending the life.
I have not come across a cheat to turn it off and as such I don’t think I would. It’s an expensive oven which should last well if used correctly.

ModeratorConnect says your part number goes to Baumatic door seal 07022256 which is also out of stock.
Google leads it to an Espares link which looks the same and say it is in stock?

ModeratorYou can order direct from Statesman on 01473 277508 they usually post out same day. While you are on to them ask for the service manual for the machine as usually they are happy to supply to email.
I have always found them to be good to deal with and reasonably priced.
