ModeratorRe: Height reduction kits for bosch
Hi
For the washing machine I cannot find any mention in the Bosch E-shop I did try several different versions as I didn`t have the full ENR number 😉 You could try ringing them on 0844 892 8921 to make sure.
The dishwasher is a current machine and again there is no reduction lid listed either in the catalogue or in the shop. You could always knock one up yourself by modifying an old washing machine lid.
If you do phone Bosch don`t forget to have the full ENR no. and the fd no. to hand.

Hi
You will need a GasSafe registered engineer to carry out a repair. You could try the “find an engineer” link in your post. This link explains why we are unable to assist on gas repairs.

ModeratorRe: Washer/Dryer recommendations
Hi Andy
If you have to have a washer dryer there is only one that gets anywhere near to performing as you would expect and that is the Miele WT2780, only problem is it comes at a price of around the £1100 mark. Anything else is a compromise.
There is a good article on the pros and cons of washer dryers here which may help.

we got some Smeg DI612CA1 from DAD for about £199 cost.
DAD are currently running the Gorenje GV62110 12 place @ £189 in three`s.
Slimline is another animal altogether, it`s such a low volume seller the prices remain rather high.

Gorenje towards the budget end and Neff from the mid range. Both have two year warranties.
If you stock Gorenje products you can apply to carry out any in guarantee repairs.
However Gorenje don`t produce semi integrated 🙁 but Neff do 😀

ModeratorRe: Manufacturer Market share
Hi
GFK is probably the best known one for market share and trends . IIRC they do charge for the manufacturers info which comes in quite a large book.
There is quite a lot of info to be had by Googling electrical appliance market share.

Hi Karen
They will need to be the genuine articles I`m afraid, so you will need to contact your nearest supplier from the other thread 😉 😆

Hi Mark
If you type pattern AND element into the search option there is a fair few threads to read.
The AND does need to be in caps 😉

ModeratorRe: Any reccomendations for a tumble dryer??
Hi
Just to keep us on our toes you know 😆
In alphabetical order 😉
The AEG T58860 is an 8kg machine which is well over budget.
The Hotpoint AQCF852BI is an 8kg from their reliable Aqualtis range. It comes in just under budget.
The Siemens WT46E389GB is slightly over budget but with it`s 5 year warranty is a very good proposition.
Lastly the Whirlpoool AWZ8578 is well under budget. If it were me I would stay with a 6kg machine 😉

ModeratorRe: Miele or Liebherr?
Hi AWIHN
The KFN12923 is still available at Miele, yes the new version should be out early next year there is a catalogue no. for it but so far no price or availability. They could be simply upgrading cosmetics, colour anything really.
Don`t forget though anything made by human is open to human error nothing is perfect 😉 that said I would still purchase a Liebherr machine. A JLP deal will take some beating if they can supply a Liebherr.
Extended warranties can be purchased from so many different outlets these days it`s an absolute minefield, even your bank will probably sell them.

A good alternative to the whirlpool, a good sound appliance not as good as they used to be since electrolux bought them some years ago.
